“This is always an exciting day, because it will be the first time everyone actually sits in the room together, and you know that some semblance of your 53-man roster will be made up of people in that room,” McDaniels said. “We haven’t been together in a while. The rookies will be back, their eyes will be wide and hopefully we get a good start on the season.”
Coach Josh McDaniels was really impressed with Tim Tebow after the Broncos rookie camp just a few weeks ago. Let’s hope all the practice the past few weeks in Memphis has paid off and Tim shows up strong with the veterans this week.
We’ll be bringing you news, picture updates and any video we can find from the minicamp. If you go the minicamps or get any pictures, please send them to us and we’ll post it online for all the readers.

His delivery is more compact, and his knowledge of the offense is impressive. Now, if the Broncos can get his lower body in rhythm, he’ll be ready to compete at the highest level.”
Broncos head coach a great things to say about Tim’s first mini camp. “He’s what we thought he was,” McDaniels said Saturday. “First of all, he’s a rookie. He’s made his share of mistakes out here. But his work ethic is what we thought it was.”
And on whether or not Tim will function as a pocket passer or be more of a wildcat QB, McDaniels said “He will function from the pocket. If he can do something out of the pocket, and he deserves to be on the field, that’s the biggest thing, then maybe that would warrant us doing other things. But he’s going to get trained the exact same way the other guys are going to get trained.”
ESPN caught up with Tim and asked him a few questions. Check it out:
And I told you we’d try to post some pictures of his workouts, but not many have popped up yet (I think the Broncos mini camp was closed to the public). If you have any pics, please send them to us.

All in all, Tim had a very good first mini camp. Tim had a chance to get his feet wet and the coaches were very impressed with what they saw.
]]>This will be the first time we see Tim Tebow decked out in a Broncos jersey and helmet. The players don’t wear full pads and usually just run drills in shorts. Tim will participate in a variety of non contact drills. He has the playbook and it’s time to put some of it in action. He’ll work on his play calling, learn the nuances of each receiver, and improve on his mechanics.
Most fans and coaches will want to see how Tim is doing with his new throwing motion. Remember, he unveiled his new throwing mechanics during the Florida Pro Day. Is he continuing to improve or has he regressed? Josh McDaniels will want to see how Tim throws in some live situations.
Check back here for updates on Tebow’s workouts and drills. We’ll also have pictures and hopefully some video clips of Tim in action.
