Saturday Night Live, on NBC, did a skit about Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos this past Saturday night. I found a clip of it on Youtube, but not sure how long it will last because NBA tends to remove their stuff from Youtube fairly quickly.
I think this is the first time SNL has done an entire skit about Tebow. Of course, you can guess without even watching it that the video is going to make fun of Tim.
I am sorry but i didnt care for this skit It was not funny to me and i thought it was in poor taste.
Tim Tebow has never acted anything like that just not for me or for this site as far as i am concerned.

Ditto.
JL Buzzzzzzzzzzzz: Agree 100%!
I thought this was hilarious! Favorite show + favorite player = Awesome.
Buz & Kathy, I agree with you, I only had to watch the first minute & knew this garbage does not belong on this site. How come nothing has been on here about the Patriots – Broncos game instead of this? So he lost, but he’s really come a long, you could see it in the game. Everyone is saying the same thing as this last statement, he has nothing to be ashamed of.
Cindy: I agree with you also!
Well, they can’t take this skit off of Youtube too soon for me. Most of SNL is trash as far as I am concerned. Tim and the team did well Sunday considering what they were up against. Lets move on to next Sunday’s game.
Vera: Ditto!!!
Please take this blasphemous video off of this site. It profanes Tim’s belief and his work effort. He works harder at being a Christian and a football player than anyone I have ever seen. I am a 63 year old grandmother and I look up to Tim as an example of how committed I should be. Who do I want My grandsons to look up to, Tim Tebow or the vile commedians on SNL? Hands down- Tebow.
tisa: As usual, you are absolutely right about this and then some. When it comes to Tebow, how could anyone justify not being POSITIVE!!! Definitely shows that not just anyone can be a role model and that the “WEAK BAND TOGETHER TO PULL DOWN THE STRONG!” Glad that God has the last word; plus, “IF GOD BE FOR YOU, WHO CAN BE AGAINST YOU!”
GBT2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with Tisa. For a fan site, we don’t want to support those making fun of Tim.
Fan: Couldn’t agree more!!
At the beginning of the season, the Broncos were considered a below-average team across the board, i.e. defensively, offensively, special teams. No one was talking about any of their star players. Now they are a team with a great defense, super special teams, etc. These are the same players who played with Orton. But something has changed. What is the relationship between prayer and football? Tebow might pray throughout the game that God’s will be done, that he is thankful for every opportunity that may come his way, or once in a while he might pray that the Broncos could really use a break at a particular time. Christians don’t pray that others are injured or that others don’t play well. We want everyone to play well with good sportsmanship and no injuries. Christians bring their prayer life into everything they do. We are advised to pray without ceasing (ref. I Thessalonians 5:15-22). We believe there is a huge war between good and evil going on here (on Planet Earth) and that satan would like to corrupt Christianity…something he has been pretty successful with so far. We have TV shows about Christians who have many wives, those with lots of children, those who are harsh disciplinarians, and so on. (The Reformation, which so many like Martin Luther lost their lives for, is pretty much dead.) But Tim Tebow is really a normal Christian practicing Christianity as it is meant to be practiced. Satan doesn’t like that nor does any guy who is struggling with his own demon addictions and immoral behavior. People really long for some virtue/morality in their lives, but they are so far gone in their own self-indulgence these days that many cannot even fathom what it must be like to live a clean life. There are millions of us who do it and thoroughly enjoy it however. It is just so foreign to others particularly those in the sports and entertainment worlds. When Tim gestures heavenward or gets down on a knee to send up a quick prayer, he is just doing what comes naturally. But he is also making a point especially to the youth that they should put God first for success and happiness in their life. He is a role model for Something very wonderful and he wants others – both youth and adults – to find what he has found.
Cindy R.: Very good at explaining the situation and heard from a well known christian speaker (Joyce Meyer) that the reason they do not want to believe there is a God is this: “They would have to be accountable for their behavior and they want to act/do what they want to do!” They had this same skit on O’Reilly and I found it VERY OFFENSIVE to say the least…Tebow does not deserve this and I, for one, refuse to watch this low-life rendition of skid row humor!!! Don’t know why David chose to put this on the site as it really tarnishes what I thought this site represented…saddened to think that it has come down to this level!!! Maybe an apology to all the fans for making an unwise choice should be expected b/c obviously not everyone thinks this is funny or entertaining!!!! GBT2
I have to agree that this clip/skit is very offensive. I also call for the video clip to be removed from this site. Or, I guess we don’t have to visit this site any more.
I totally agree with every word you have said. Tebow is experiencing all this hate and ridicule because he is scaring the Devil to death. What if America’s youth follow Tebow and get back to our Christian values? I’m a high school teacher in Florida and I am seeing it. Kids are actually showing their faith more and affirming that they too intend to remain a virgin until marriage, and not just girls but masculine popular football players. But, also, the more the haters throw at Tebow, the more I, and other Christians want to support God’s message through him.So, talk on. It only keeps Tebow before the public and motivates Christians to get behind Tebow’s message
I know we’re supposed to be able to laugh at ourselves but this video goes way out of bounds. It’s one thing to tease, another to mock. I could see this video on an anti-Tebow site but not this one.
One other thing…the free Apple iPad popup ad tries to take over my browser.
After checking other Media and with Tims other fans in JAX FL Tim Tebow home town.
We ask you to Please remove this Post/Skit from the TebowZone

Wow people. This is why people hate Tebow fans. As a Christian, one of Tebow’s former classmates at UF (we sat together every day) and a Tebow supporter for life, I have to say – LIGHTEN UP! I thought the skit was funny. SNL makes fun of 10 celebrities per episode if not more- the fact that Tim was chosen was huge! I was actually proud! For all the people complaining that Tebow doesn’t really act like this, well of course he doesn’t – it’s an impersonation. All impersonations take small, barely noticable parts of someone’s personality/demeanor and exaggerate them for comedic purposes. Whitney Houston, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber- all sketches with exaggerations of their real demeanor.
As for religion, I don’t get how people could even think the skit was making fun of Christianity or Tebow’s faith. It’s poking fun at the idea that Jesus is really determining the outcome of a football game- an idea that even Tim says he doesn’t really believe. With all the Bronco success after Tebow took over, God’s involvement in sports became a popular topic again, so SNL jumped at the chance to go do a timely, funny skit about it. But because it didn’t make St. Timmy look perfect, it’s all of a sudden garbage?
The people of TebowZone have a obligation to post on all things Tebow related. When there were negative videos posted from sports commentators about the “Throwing Motion” scandal, no one pulled the “How dare you post this?” card- so don’t do it now and don’t threaten to boycott the site. It’s one post, one skit. If you didn’t like it, you never have to watch again and in about it a month it will be archived. There are more important things to worry about during this time of year than an “offensive” SNL sketch about a great football player.
AT, I do not watch SNL, ever, because I feel that there “comedy” is vulgar. As fans, we don’t object to parodies of Tebow’s mechanics or his personalty. This, however, is mockery of Tim and the Lord Jesus Christ. Sorry you don’t see this. I agree with what HEXUS has already replied.
Apparently, “AT” YOU ARE IN THE MINORITY!!! Just b/c you happen to not agree does not give you the right TO LECTURE…WILL NOT CHANGE MY MIND AS I REFUSE TO WATCH AND, YES, THAT IS MY PREROGATIVE; ANYWAY GIGO (GARBAGE IN GARBAGE OUT)…SUMS IT UP!!! PLUS, I LIKE TO QUOTE ANOTHER SAYING (MOSTLY MINE)…”YOUR RIGHTS END WHERE MINE BEGINS”!!
So you went on a comment section, where people share opinions, to complain about me not having the “right” to share my opinion, simply because it differed from yours? My comment was simply stating how I felt about the skit- same as everyone else except I had a different point of view. And the saying is “Your right to swing your arm ends where my face begins”. It means that someone can exercise their rights as long as it doesn’t impede on someone else’s rights. My comment in no way takes away from your rights, so your quote does not apply.
