No Pro Bowl For Tebow (yet)

The NFL announced the Pro Bowl selections last night. QBs from the AFC include Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger and Philip Rivers. We told you last week that Tim Tebow was 3rd in the fan voting for AFC QBs, but it looks like he didn’t get enough votes from the players and coaches.

Funny thing about the Pro Bowl is that if a QB’s team makes it to the Super Bowl, then he cannot play. So that could eliminate Ben or Brady from the roster. Plus, Tom Brady NEVER plays in the Pro Bowl, always citing injury concerns. This would open the door for 1 or 2 alternates to make the trip. Tim Tebow was named an alternate for the Pro Bowl – we just don’t know which level he is at.

Last year David Garrard of the Jaguars was like the 8th alternate yet he ended up going to Hawaii because of injuries / bow outs of other QBs. So we very well could see Tim in the Pro Bowl before it’s all said and done — that is unless the Broncos make it to the Superbowl :-)
