Broncos Win Again

Tim Tebow improved to 3-1 as a starter this year after he helped lead the Denver Broncos to a 17-10 victory over the Chiefs. It was a tough road game, and the Broncos came out on top. Denver is now 4-5 and only one game out of first place in their division.

It wasn’t the prettiest game for a QB. Tebow finished just 2/8 for 69 yards with 1 touchdown. He ran the ball 9 times for 43 yards and a touchdown. At halftime, Tebow only had 4 passing attempts. So in fantasy football, he probably got you around 18 points — so not great but not terrible (like what Vick did).

“It’s just a mind-set. It’s a low-risk offense. It’s not an indictment on Tim Tebow or whoever our quarterback is,” Broncos coach John Fox said. “It’s just whatever is working for us. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. We tried to possess the ball and keep our defense fresh.”

He did hit Eric Decker on a beautiful 56-yard touchdown pass. Decker had double coverage and Tebow put the ball right on the money. I would love to see more of that.

    Since I don’t play fantasy football, it’s no big deal to about is stats. Yeah, more would be nicer but I’m thrilled that Tebow led Denver to another “W”!!!

    Watched him with the Gators, so happy to see him winning now. From the Denver Post:

    “Tim Tebow? I’m buying,” rookie Denver linebacker Von Miller said. “He’s the greatest thing out there. I think he’s shut up some critics. You can’t get a bad comment from me about Tim Tebow. I love him.”

    Just a few interesting stats about Tim in his NFL career so far;
    12 passing TD’s with only 4 interceptions
    8 rushing TD’s with only 1 lost fumble
    = 20 TD’s w/5 turnovers
    Not bad for a guy who can’t play in the NFL.

      David: Great sense of humor along w/stats!! Guess it has been the proverbial “SILENCE IS GOLDEN” in regards to all the critics who will have to, again, regroup b/c with another win for T2/Broncos on Thursday and even Elway will have to concede!!!! Looking forward to that!!!!

    A win on Thursday will energize the home town fans, TT fans worldwide, and a national tv & radio audience that to a great degree have only seen the missteps of our favorite player.

    Tim is the most electrifying player in years, maybe decades. He messes with defensive minds, and I love it.

    Denver has now gone from the 22nd rated run offense to 3rd in just 2 weeks. After Thursday, they will probably be number 2, possibly even number 1.

    I loved what Eddie Royal said was going on in his mind when he realized he’d just caught a pass out of the triple option offense; “it took me about a second to realize I had the ball and needed to start running”.

    Just imagine what the defense must have been thinking.
