Broncos Beat Jets 17-13 on a Tebow Touchdown Run

He did it again! Tim Tebow led the Broncos on 95-yard drive at the end of the 4th quarter that put the Broncos on top of the New York Jets, 17-13. The drive was capped off with a 20 yard touchdown run by Tebow himself. So once again, the stat line might not be pretty, not all the plays were executed perfectly but in the end Tim got the Broncos a W by continuing to fight hard and get up for every play. A lot of QBs would fold under that situation, but Tim knows this is a 60 minute game and he gives 100% each minute. This was his third comeback win this season and the Broncos are now 4-1 since naming Tim the starter.

“He’s a competitive dude,” Broncos coach John Fox said. “He’s super competitive. He never lays his sword down. He’ll fight you to the death. That’s just his nature. He’s a great young man.”

Tim finished the game 9/20 for 104 yards, plus 8 rushes for 68 yards and a touchdown. “I like winning,” Tebow said “but I wish it wasn’t this stressful.”

You hit the nail on the head with that quote brother!

Can’t wait to hear what the talking heads & naysayers have to say on ESPN today, Skip Bayless will be ecstatic. Tebow proves he’s a winner again. Maybe one day he will finally stop the critics.

Thank you to the Defense for keeping the Broncos in the game until Timmy could work his magic. Those dive plays don’t work up the middle against 3 massive defenders. We Gators saw that Timmy’s senior year at Florida. You would think after a few tries the OC would have gone to something else. They wait until the last minute to call the plays that Timmy does best. But, I am so proud of Timmy and the way he willed the team to win. Dare we hope for a play off run? Even a short one? Can’t wait to hear what the ” experts ” have to say today.

I have to echo the sentiment about the defense. They have been playing lights out lately, and that have been keeping the score low to give the offense a chance to score on a drive or two and win the game. Tim did not look pretty at all last night, and they needed their defense to come through with a pick 6, but when it mattered the Broncos drove 95 yards and ran it in. Watching Tebow is really like a rollercoaster, there were so many lows followed by highs. Up and down! But he gets the W and improves to 4-1. Whoudathought!?

The bias on NHL network broadcast was palpable last night.Evert throw by Tebow was not NFL quarter back caliber.Every bad throw by the Sanchez was simply an incomplete pass. It was if the announcers were waiting for Tebow to do something to validate their thinly conceived scorn. They even included a “funny clip” of the Tebow kneel. Admittedly, it did improve near the end of the game, but I doubt winning games is going to win over the media. Their prejudices are just too strong. Maybe Tim Tebow will make a a NFL quarterback (things are starting to shape up in that direction) or perhaps he won’t. But can we keep the derision out of the announcing booth or at least give the job to people without a Tebow agenda?

    • Alan says:

Don’t hold your breath if you’re waiting on them to jump on the fan-wagon. I don’t believe their cynicism and criticism of Tim’s unorthodoxy won’t change any time soon. Apparently, winning is not enough; you have to do it with NFL-style.

    • Tisa says:

The cynicism keeps Timmy before the nation and that is exactly where he wants to be. It gives him an even greater platform. Read 1Cor.2:27. Tebow’s Eye Black used this scripture to explain what is going on with Timmy. God is using conventional wisdom about football to shame the football wise. Timmy is succeeding because he gives all to the glory of God. To watch him is to know that according to man he should not be succeeding. People are amazed and don’t know what to think. They say he “wills” the team. He wills them because he lives within God’s will. When you watch him after a good play, you will see him talking to God. He defines prayer as “an ongoing converstion with God”. He is literally never out of God’s presence. That’s what amazes me about this kid. I am 63 years old and I look up to him! I want to be as dedicated as he is! Will a quarterback lead this country back to the Christian nation it used to be? Think I’m crazy or fanatical, if you will, but I believe there is far more to Timmy than football. Why can’t we have a modern day Moses?

Oops! The scripture is 1Cor.1:27. I noticed the typo just as I hit the submit button.
