Tebow Time in Denver!

Did Coach John Fox finally succumb to the “Tebow, Tebow” chants in Denver yesterday afternoon? Maybe … Tim Tebow got a chance yesterday when he came out of halftime as the Broncos quarterback. Time started the second half when the Broncos were trailing 23-10. Orton threw one interception and the Broncos only touchdown came from the defense. They needed a spark.

Tim came in and struggled a bit in the 3rd quarter, but found his groove in the fourth leading the 14 unanswered points and a shot for the win at the end of the game. The Broncos came up short on a hail mary, but without Tim Tebow playing they never would have had that chance.

Tim finished 4/10 for 79 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed the ball 6 times for 38 yards and a touchdown. His lone touchdown pass was a short dump to Knowshon Moreno and he took it to the house. You could see the excitement from the fans and the players on the sideline as they watched a near comeback victory.

“Tim Tebow sparked the team today. (But) we haven’t had a chance to watch the tape, we haven’t had a chance to watch the film, we haven’t had a chance to visit as a staff,” Fox said. “So, I think at this point — we have a bye week — we do need to improve offensively, and it will all be up for discussion.”

Here is the video of his touchdown run.

I think the time has finally come. The bye week will give Tebow extra time to work with the first team and get prepared to start the rest of the season.

I think Fox may have thought that “his guy”, Orton, was headed to another blow out and that if he put Timmy in the game the second half, the blow out would be on him. Then he could say, “I gave him a chance and he couldn’t get it done.” But, Timmy nearly pulled it off for a win. In their interviews, both Timmy and Orton said they had no idea they were going to put Timmy in the second half. Timmy had not practiced with the first string or prepared for this opportunity. He said he found out at the end of the first half that he was going to start the second half. Yet he managed to rally this team around him. After he ran for his rushing touchdown he exploded with the passion we Gators are used to seeing and the team went right with him. If the defense had held the Chargers on their last possession and Timmy had gotten them to the 29, Prater could have kicked a winning field goal, but the defense did not hold. It was that close. But I think Fox may have started “Tebow Time” in Denver, whether he intended to or not. The fans were on their feet the entire second half. How do you go back to Orton now?

Hallelujah. Glad to see Tim at QB. May it last another 15 years. And best wishes for Orton. He’s a good man, he was just in Tebow’s way. There’s a better place for him.

That’s a backhanded compliment for Orton if I ever heard one.

Sure hope that Blooper Esision was watching all of this, maybe he will discontinue his TEBOW bashing just a little; his numbers certianly weren’t good enough for him to bash on him like he has. Maybe Timmy will end up in MIAMI they sure could use him and I’m sure the coaching staff there would welcome him with open arms

Now with two weeks to install a Tebow led offense, the Broncos finally have a chance to salvage the season. Denver should plan on leaving Orton in Miami in two weeks to try out for the Dolphins job, and the Broncos should also scout the Dolphins coaching staff for a possible replacement for Fox. Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together?

It’s official, Tebow Time is on the clock. I wish I could go to Miami to see it in person. I pray someone on that coaching staff has the creativity to create plays for Timmy that play to his strengths and that they will not try to squelch him into what they consider to be the norm. He is different and that is his strength. As someone else said, “Just go win, baby!” That is what you are known for. Go Tebow!!!!
