Tebow Start Em & Sit Em

Now that Tim Tebow is starting again, we can bring back our weekly fantasy football outlook. We did a few of these last year, and I’ve missed having them for the first 6 weeks of this season. By now, Tim Tebow should be on a roster in your fantasy league. If he happens to still be out there as a free agent or on waivers, go get him now! Tebow was a stud fantasy player in the final three games of 2010 and might have won a championships for some owners.NFL.com has Tebow as the start of the week, and I wouldn’t disagree.

The Broncos are playing the Dolphins, who are giving up 343.8 yards per game (228 in the air and 115.8 on the ground). Neither team has a great defense so we could see a lot of scoring in this game.

I’m predicting at least 20 fantasy points for Tim on Sunday, but probably more like 25 (depending on your league). Something to the tune of:
220 yards passing 1 touchdown, 1 interception
50 yards rushing, 1 touchdown

In my league that’s 23 points, and a very good day for a QB. If you own Tebow in your league, you should definitely start him this week – unless you also have someone like Rodgers or Brees.

You can skip to the end and leave a response. Pinging is currently not allowed.

Granted, it wasn’t pretty for a while, then it got beautiful. And the CBS commentator Solomon Wilcots actually said at one point; Denver has to ask themselves if Kyle Orton gives them the best chance to win”. Wow, don’t these guys prepare for these games? Hey Solomon, that ship has sailed, it’s TEBOW TIME. Does this mean we still have to set our clocks back an hour in a couple weeks, or does Tim make that determination from now on? Either way, I’m good!!!

they were talking about when he was over throw’n people. they won but man did it look bad. he was give’n DBs an etra step on the WR. ready to see some more games & how well he will do, i fear with that tape DCs will have some hardcore pressure up the middle & man to man & more. hope he can get it going better in the 1st 55 minutes. just wanna see more when everyone knows he’s the starter, many throws where just very bad even the completions had to many diving WR, diving WR is always a bad pass.

i was impressed with the comeback & the offense click’n after time but you just cant get down to that all the time against very bad teams & hope to go very far & he had single reads, thats not good but they did when, tim just needs to keep that work going & get’n alot better cause that wont work well at all against better teams. good thing is for him the broncos arent going to the playoffs so its really about developement now more than anything.

Loved it when Urban was ‘coaching’ Timmy before the game. Kind of wish Tim had someone like that in the Denver organization now. While today was only great at the end, he has been hanging in the pocket much better, and the accuracy and timing with the receivers will get better now that they’re actually practicing together. Remember that because of the new CBA with the union, they only had about 5 practices together over the past two weeks. Another week to prepare and a Denver crowd should help them all play better, especially the lackluster receiving corp, against a much better Detroit team next week. Having said all that, you gotta love this kids determination. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. And the QB rating at 92 really wasn’t bad at all for a first start. Remember Elways was about 39, not that I’m making the comparison–Tim is a much better QB than John Elway was at this stage.
