The Broncos (1-2) fell to the Tennessee Titans yesterday afternoon by a final score of 14-17. Orton threw an interception at the end of the game on the Titans 39 yard line to seal the loss. Tim Tebow did not see any playing time in the loss.
There was a crucial 4th and goal from the one yard line at the start of the 4th quarter. The Broncos decided to go for it instead of kicking a field goal. This would have been a play PERFECT for Tim Tebow, but instead Coach Fox rushes McGahee up the middle and he is stuffed for no gain. It just blows my mind that this coaching staff is so stubborn they will not put Tim in at QB. If he’s in on that play the defense won’t know whether he’ll QB sneak it, roll out, throw it or hand it off. There are so many options to keep the defense on their toes.
I saw this posted on the Broncos message baord and thought it was interesting.
Kyle Orton’s last 3 starts:
Passing: 672 yds/5 td’s/3 int’s/8 sacks for -41yds
Rushing: 11 yds/0 td/2 fumbles lost
Tebow’s first 3 starts:
Passing: 651yds/4 td’s/3 int’s/6 sacks for -21 yds
Rushing: 199yds/3 td’s/0 fumbles lost
Total yards accounted for:
Kyle Orton: 683 yds/5 td’s/ 5 turnovers (2 of them game ending)
Tim Tebow: 850 yds/7 td’s/ 3 turnovers
Total Record:
Kyle Orton: 1-2
Tim Tebow: 1-2
One QB has 7 years experience and the benefit of going through training camps and practices taking all of 1st string snaps
The other QB was a rookie thrown in the fire playing for an interim coach who’s previous experience was running back’s coach.
When will the coaches make the move? How long can they leave Orton in there? Unless their plan is to just bury this team and pick Andrew Luck in 2012.
if tim tebow played against the titans the broncos would have lost 71-7 just as he lost the national championship game to alabama……….ive seen tebow cry more tears than complete passes……..tebow sucks and he’ll never be good
no one circles the ballsack like TIM TEBOW
I think Fox is not the real problem I think Elway is. The other stats you left off are the Elway records Tim broke in his very first start. I think John Elway feels threatened by Tebow. Denver has not had a successful QB since Elway left even though some of them have gone on to succeed with other teams. I think he is living in the past and came forward to “help” the team after Tim started so well last year. What you have here is good old fashioned politics. Unless Elway’s competitiveness and desire to win overcomes his ego we will not see Tim play in Denver until Elway can take “full credit” for “creating” Tim into a winning QB. Of course anyone who knows Tim knows he has always been a winner and does not need to be made over by Elway.
Some Broncos fans are now counting moral victories, i.e., games in which they aren’t blown out. So, it may be a little while longer before they force a change. But I do think they’ll force it.
Tebow’s red-zone skills are too epic to ignore. His game should be tailor-made for John Fox. Low turnovers, high success-rate in the red-zone. The Broncos could have won 11 games this year with Tebow starting.
P-R-I-D-E won’t let Fox play Tebow at crunch time. The more he defers using this offensive weapon, the harder it will be to play him at all. Once Tebow starts scoring in short distance scenarios it’ll prove his fans right and his coach wrong.
Sage:
Definitely agree with “Tebow’s red-zone skills are too epic to ignore!”; and when you see the fans leaving the stadium en masse’ that will tell the rest of the story!!!!
GO TEBOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kudos to Gator 7 & Alan also–at least some people get it!
JUST KNOW THE INEVITABLE WILL HAPPEN IN SPITE OF THE ONGOING POLITICS…TEBOW AGAIN AT STARTING QB FOR THE BRONCOS AND DEFINITELY WINNING!! (PROVES THE THEORY YOU CAN’T KEEP A GREAT MAN–NFL/COLLEGE QB DOWN!!!) WHAT WILL BE PRICELESS IS WITNESSING ALL THOSE UNSUCCESSFUL CRITICS FINALLY EATING THEIR WORDS IN TRIPLICATE…NO WONDER THEY SAY SILENCE IS GOLDEN!!!! ALSO, THIS SITE IS FOR TEBOW FANS AND THANKS DAVID FOR MONITORING AND PROVIDING INSIGHTFUL ANALYSIS!!!!!!!
GB2/TEBOW/GATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ALL TOU TEBOW FANS ARE IDIOTS……..DONT COMPARE TEBOW TO ELWAY EVER!!!!!! IF TEBOW WAS SUCH A BEAST HE WOULD BE THE STARTER BUT NO…..HES 3RD FUCKING STRING FOR A REASON BECAUSE JOHN FOX FOUND OUT THAT HIS 5 YEAR OLD SON KNOW MORE ABOUT FOOTBALL AND LESS ABOUT CRYING !! I HOPE GETS HIT BY A CAR AND DIES IN A BYCICLING ACCIDENT WHILE PEDDELING HIS BIBLES AROUND RURAL UTAH !
Yes they DONT COMPARE look at Tebows Stats and Elways after their firs 3 games in the NFL
Buzzy
Get off our site Mcdaniels-Mistake.
Statistically, John Elway was a very mediocre QB, ranking 60th in the all time QB rankings. He was surrounded by several all pro players and some of the all time best coaches on both offense and defense. He also had some intangible skills that helped lead the Broncos to several Super Bowls. He was never a great running QB, Tebow is much, much, better in that category. He was a 3rd tier passer, but he was a good leader surrounded by good players. I say this to illustrate the fallacy of the notion that just because John Elway say’s this or that about Tebow, or the fact that the Broncos don’t seem to understand how ridiculous it is to leave Tim on the bench while Kyle & Co. tank the 3rd season in a row, it doesn’t make it so. One sports-talker on Denver radio said yesterday that fans calling for Tebow to start is going against Elway and you might as well be going against God. John Elway is their messiah, the facts be damned. So when people like McDaniels-Mistake decide to throw their little hissy fits about the great Tim Tebow and those that appreciate his enormous talents and his rock solid behavior, we can rest assured that they feel threatened by the cold hard truth that their savior has horribly flawed reasoning.
What a shame that they desire to stay blinded to the truth.
Check out my post on the other story of why tebow should go to the dolphins.
GO TEBOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, ck, GO TEBOW, just not this weekend against the Packers. Let Kyle do that.
Tisa:
My feelings exactly and we know what happens after that…
GO TEBOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@mcdaniels_mistake – Since you hate Tim Tebow so much, why do you visit a site for his fans? A better question would be why do you hate Tim Tebow that much? I don’t visit the Hate Tebow sites, so why don’t you just do your posting there? You are truly a very sick person, with a disgusting mind and mouth, and I really don’t care what you think about me or any other Tebow fan. I respect Tim as a person and you could obviously learn from him that “character” counts!
From Today’s Denver Post column by Mark Kiszla:
”If a low-scoring, losing NFL team can’t find a way to get Tim Tebow in the game, then new coach John Fox is a stubborn goat so stuck in the 1970s and so hopelessly out of touch with his fan base that one might begin to wonder why the Broncos hired him in the first place.”

I say amen to that!
JB:
Why waste your valuable time on what is obviously a HUGE DISPLAY OF IGNORANCE!! Apparently, no one else wants this type of negativity on their site either and probably censored/banned the filth; however, I concur with your thoughts on Tim and have the utmost respect for him as well.
I started to think back to how foxy our estrogen taking lemon sucking coach got the job. HE HAD BEEN FIRED! Fox had nothing to promise or to show off…. So what if he made a deal with elway that he would not start tebow, but to keep things interesting for the fannies that come game after game at mile high he would put Orton on a trade block then pull him out to give fans hope. That way they would receive some income AND they would be in a position to get Luck. I pray that I am wrong , but whats happening does not make an ounce of sense. That way he would sign up Orton for a year or two and Elway would PERSONALLY teach Luck.
I am Sure they will release or trade Tim before the season is out because of his fan base pushing Elway and Fox As i said before i Watch Him Play since JR High and he dont look too good in practice he make a lot of mistakes or trys alot of diff things after all it is practice But if they Held him to stay in the pocket that is not him my grand son playing end and two players chased him all over the back field one time in Practice and he still got the pass off. But in the game he will come thur.
