David Late in the game on Monday night vs. the Oakland Raiders, the fans in the stadium started chanting “Tebow, Tebow” as Kyle Orton botched another game and the Broncos lost. Fans are very vocal in their support for Tebow. They want to see what the kid can do, but management and Broncos players are ready yet to make the move.
“Kyle is our starter. He’s a human being just like we all are. Sometimes things don’t go the way that you want them to go, but you can’t just be so quick to jump ship. (Kyle) is going to bounce back and everybody is going to be happy,” said Broncos linebacker Jason Hunter.
“I don’t think anything is going to change with our depth chart,” linebacker Joe Mays said Tuesday. “I don’t think that they’re going to bring Tebow in. We just have to execute with what we have.”
There was a poll on the Broncos message board asking if fans think Tebow could have won the game on Monday — there was an overwhelmingly high percentage of fans who voted Yes. Management may be in love with Orton, but the guy just isn’t good and fans will only put up with this for so long. The players will come around sooner or later as they start piling up losses.

This is Denver’s 3rd season with Kyle as the starter and management can’t get past the 6-0 start in season 1 and look at his 5-19 record since. As long as Tim is on the roster, we’ll continue to watch in the hope that we see him play. I’d bet management knows this. But we can be as vocal as we like, and show our disgust at the unimaginative play calling, and lack of discipline and effort the Broncos show. Unless the Broncos start winning week after week, the push to see Tim play will continue to increase. And the consistent winning scenario doesn’t seem very likely.
I really don’t want Tim to play for the Broncos. I am a Tebow fan, not a Bronco fan. The team is just not good enough to support him through the growth process and the coaches don’t really seem to believe in him. If he were to become the starter now, those same Bronco fans that are booing Orton now would be calling for Tim’s head. I feel so badly for Tim because he does not ask for any of this villification being heaped on his head. One CBS writer called him a “cancer” on the roster. I just hope that things are not as difficult for him with the team as people make it seem, but you can tell Orton hates him. My prayer is for God to find a place for him where he can grow and thrive. As Tim believes, I believe God, controls everything, even our career placement. God bless Tim as he deals with all this.
I am SICK of hearing what Broncos player personnel has to say about the Broncos QB position. If you didn’t play like horse crap maybe the fans wouldn’t be in such a state of discontent after watching such an inferior product for the last few years.
The Broncos are literally becoming like the Lions, the Bills and the Bengals. Oops, they’re all 1-0 now and started the season on a positiove note.
The Broncos are becoming one of the worst teams in the NFL.
How can the Broncos have a successful running game with Orten? He only drops back, collapses like a limp noodle into the fetal position when pressured. Heck, he sacked himself on Monday by running straight into the arms of an Oakland player. He was so bad last year, I found myself running the games in fast forward, hating that I paid an outrageous amount of money for my NFL Direct to watch that loser, Orten, turn my stomach. I love watching Tebow play. He is dynamic; he can run; he can throw. His running abilities keep the defense guessing. How can you blame the Bronco front line when Orten is so outrageously predictable and cowardly?
I have watch Tim since jr High the reason he changed high schools is his coach did not want him to be the QB My grand son Brandon was the JV center and snap him some times so i would watch them after the reg. Practice get in some more reps he does no show much in practice but during the games he goes to another level and his best trate he inspires the other players to do there best most time when he did fail in agame the coach held him to some do this only when he was allow to go all out it was diff. story

I like that idea, Jim. I just think it’s a little early, b/c I don’t think EFX will be willing to pay attention to fans so early in the season. Maybe by games 4 or 5, if the Broncos are still bad, but probably not before then. Michael Lombardi has been saying for months that Tim has NO support among the Broncos management. So I’m expecting the Broncos ‘braintrust’ to only grudgingly give Tim a chance & possibly even against a team that they think he won’t do well against.
But I still think it’s a good idea.
I think we should be lobbying Jimmy Sexton to get Tebow out of Denver. Read the recent article about how the Broncos are just using Tim on Tebow’s Eye Black. Right now they are making lots of money because of him. It puts them in the position of teasing people along with the possibility that he will get in a game, so we tune in. But, if they play him and he doesn’t succeed, they will lose the sales and viewer interest. They will also lose the media exposure they are getting right now. Without Timmy and the controvery the Broncos would get no media attention. Do you see any other low ranking teams in the media day after day? Timmy said yesterday there is no package for him to get into the game. They are never going to play him, no matter what. TRADE HIM TO A TEAM NEAR FLORIDA!!!! PLEASE!!!
