An Eye On Tim Tebow

Disclaimer: This is a post was brought to you by DirectStarTv

Whether for good or bad, Tim Tebow has caught the attention of the sports world like very few athletes have been able to do over the last decade or so. Whether because of his absolutely dominant college career, his continually positive effect on his teammates, his seemingly humble off-field demeanor, or the simply the question of whether or not he will succeed in the NFL, Tebow is simply fascinating to discuss. Whatever your personal opinion of him is, he will most certainly be worth watching this upcoming season as he gets his first chance to compete for a starting role. If you live in Denver, you may want to try to catch him live and be a part of his developing career… and if you do not live in Denver, try to catch Tim Tebow in every Broncos game with Direct TV Sunday Ticket.

Throughout his college career, Tim Tebow truly dominated like few players ever have. He was an accurate passer, big enough to absorb the violent punishment he took from opposing defenses, and seemingly tough enough to run through a brick wall to get the ball across the goal line. Most people who watched him realized that he was one of those rare college athletes with the talent to win just about by themselves. However, when people started to catch glimpses of the motivation he provided his teammates and the manner in which he conducted himself off the field, Tebow truly became a sensation.

Tebow was a player that many college fans would have liked to see play in his Florida uniform indefinitely. His game was perfect for college football, and he had dominated the sport in a truly unique fashion. However, as Tebow moved on to the NFL, many analysts began to question whether or not he had the right abilities and style of play to become an elite NFL quarterback. It seems odd… much like when college basketball superstar J.J. Redick of Duke University moved on to the NBA and people questioned whether he could handle the professional game after dominating the college one. People wondered whether Tebow could continue to be as tough and gritty when the people hitting him got bigger and faster.

After performing fairly well in limited appearances during his rookie season, Tim Tebow will likely get the chance this year to prove that he can indeed be effective on the professional stage. Hopefully, it doesn’t have to come because of an injury to Kyle Orton. Tim needs to outperform him in practice and in the preseason games. It will be quite fascinating to watch. Despite having a game that most consider to be a better fit in the college environment, Tebow has a lot of heart and an absurd level of confidence… he may continue to surprise people.

Tebow may deserve a cut back from Direct TV in Florida. Since we do not get Denver games on Sundays many people I know have switched to Direct TV in order to get NFL Sunday Ticket. Right now, when you switch to Direct TV, you get NFL Sunday Ticket included at no cost the first year. Maybe after this year we will have a clearer picture of when and where Tebow will start. I am not paying to watch Kyle Orton play. We will be saving about $20.00 a month over our old cable company when the full rate kicks in.
