The Tampa Bay Buccaneers declined HBO’s invitation to appear on the upcoming season of Hard Knocks. It got me thinking – could the Denver Broncos be selected to appear on the show? Would they accept the offer?

The Broncos already have one of the NFL’s most polarizing athletes in Tim Tebow, why not chronicle training camp and the quarterback battle between Orton and Tebow on TV. Just by having Tim on TV, HBO would be guaranteed a huge boost in ratings and subscription purchases.

HBO wanted the Bucs because they’re the hot team right now and have a young nucleus of players – Freeman, Williams and Blount. The Broncos didn’t have a successful season in 2010, but they have some young players – Tebow, Moreno and Lloyd – and a highly recognizable VP of Football Operations, John Elway.

It’s just a thought. I haven’t heard anything about the Broncos being selected, I just thought it would be cool to see Tim Tebow on Hard Knocks.
