Anytime I see Ditka written in an article I always read it in my head like I’m part of Bill Swerski’s superfans from SNL. So speaking of Coach Ditka, he was recently interviewed by the Chicago Sun Times and mentioned Tim Tebow in the interview. He had nothing but praise for the Broncos’ future starting quarterback.

“People talk about Tim Tebow like he can’t do this or he doesn’t have this throwing skill,” said Ditka.

“But all that matters is can he lead you from Point A to Point B. I like him. You cannot coach character. You cannot coach leadership.”

Ditka then went on to talk about Cam Newton, a former teammate of Tim’s

“I would take Newton,” Ditka said. “I would take him in a heartbeat. I think he gets it. He reminds me of a bigger Tim Tebow. He’s smart. He sounds good when he talks. I don’t care about that other stuff.”
