Tim Tebow Not a ROY Finalist

Before the season started, many of us probably would have pegged Tim Tebow as a potential NFL Rookie of the Year. I thought he’d be starting by week 3-4, which would have been plenty of time for him to gain consideration for the award. Tebow did win Rookie of the Week twice (weeks 10 and 16), which is the same number of time’s Sam Bradford won it and he started all 16 games.

The finalists for the award are:
Sam Bradford, Quarterback, St. Louis Rams
Joe Haden, Cornerback, Cleveland Browns
Devin McCourty, Cornerback, New England Patriots
Ndamukong Suh, Defensive Tackle, Detroit Lions
Mike Williams, Wide Receiver Tampa Bay Buccaneers

If Tim had been given a chance to play more from the start of the season, there’s no doubt we’d see him on the lists — just based off what he was able to accomplish in the final 3 games.
