J Craig of Always Think Positive wrote a blog post about how people should view Tim Tebow as a person and not what you’ve seen on TV. J Craig recently started his blog, so I wanted to help out by posting an excerpt of his article on Tebow.
Tim should be looked at as who you would want your child to mimic if no one else. Our children are constantly looking for someone they can look up to and be like, why not Tim Tebow? He is a guy that visited his birthplace of the Philippines every summer while on break from school and blended in as an unknown to help out in every way he could. He went to a place away from the media spotlight to preach the gospel of Jesus as he walked down the streets of Cotabato. Carrying homeless kids on his shoulders while playing big brother to them and handing out candies and other goodie bags. Running errands for local doctors and nurses who perform surgeries unlike what you would see on Grey’s Anatomy or E.R. Miles away from people that criticize his decisions both on the field and off, he doesn’t blink an eye at helping others and he definitely doesn’t mind not getting recognized. This is just a small amount of the good will and humanitarian projects that he has taken part of all while most college kids were out partying and making fun of his non-party lifestyle.
