David Until the Broncos decide to trade Kyle Orton, there will be a major QB controversy in Denver. Teams don’t really like QB controversy heading into the season. But part of me thinks they will keep both Tim and Kyle next year.
Just found this little germ on Rotoworld. The Denver Post’s Mark Kiszla has a “sneaking suspicion” that the Broncos’ front office feels it has “little choice except to start Tim Tebow in 2011.”
From John Fox’s well-chronicled admiration of him, to his solid performance at the end of the season, all signs are pointing toward Tebow being Denver’s starting quarterback in 2011. Kyle Orton would likely be the better choice for at least one more season, but after the Broncos allowed former head coach Josh McDaniels to take the gamble of a lifetime in taking Tebow in the first round of last spring’s draft, there’s no time like the present to find out what they really have in their second-year signal caller.
Not quite sure taking Tim Tebow in the first round was the “gamble of a lifetime,” but maybe it was risky. How about the Saints trading their entire draft for Ricky Williams, or the Jaguars picking Matt Jones, or the Chargers drafting Eli Manning after he said he wouldn’t play there… there are plenty of NFL Draft gambles, but to me drafting Tim seems like a safe bet.

I take anything Kiszla says w/a huge grain of salt. He’s been a Tebow hater since the minute Tim was drafted.
Tim Tebow is deserving of not only being a first round draft pick, but also starting for the Broncos as its franchise QB!!
We are extremely proud of you Tim for definitely overcoming all obstacles and proving all the critics wrong as usual!! Hard not to be inspired when it comes to Tim!!

Tebow will make a great starting QB. As a rams fan, I was hugely disappointed that they took Bradford and not Tebow. He is a great all around QB and an inspiration to us all.
How is it even a question who should start? As a life long Broncos fan i can honestly say that if Kyle Orton starts over Tebow I will no longer be a fan of the Denver Broncos. Kyle Orton is not a leader, not a team player, and just flat out does not have the ability to win a football game. Kyle Orton only put up impressive passing stats because we simply didnt have a running game and 90% of the play calls were pass plays to good recievers that made great catches and carried him through the season. If he doesnt want to play for the Broncos unless he is the starter then get rid of him. He was another major mistake made by McDaniels. Tebow is a natural athlete who lives to win and is good at finding ways to do that. Tebow posesses the leadership skills it takes to be an NFL quarterback. All he is lacking is NFL experience just like every other rookie who turned out to be a superstar (for example JOHN ELWAY). Tebow is the only logical choice, and the have to give the fans what they want.
