David The Denver Broncos were trailing the Houston Texans 0-17 at halftime, but Tim Tebow was able to rally the Broncos in the second half for a come from behind win — 24-23. Tim scored the go ahead touchdown on a 6 yard run with 3:05 left in the game. It was a broken down passing play and Tim was able to use his scrambling ability to make something happen. The coaching staff really opened the play calling the the second half and let the team do more.
Tebow finished the game 16/29 for 308 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. He also rushed the ball 10 times for 27 yards and a score. The critics will say that his completion percentage was horrible and that anyone can score on the Texans. But you have to admire the way Tim was able to come from behind and win the game. He stayed poised … hit players deep downfield, including a 50 yard bomb in the air to Gaffney (like that Gator to Gator connection). “Things weren’t going well early, but we kept fighting, kept believing in each other,” Tebow said.
In his first game as a starter in front of the home crowd, Tim gave the fans something to cheer about… something they haven’t really had all season. “He definitely stepped up and gave the fans what they wanted,” wide receiver Brandon Lloyd said. “And as a player, he gave us what we needed.”
Those of you who started Tim Tebow in fantasy football this week (probably your Super Bowl game) should be very happy with his performance. Tim score 24 points in my league.

Usually, I agree with your comments and assessments, but you’re wrong. Critics will NOT be saying his completion % was horrible. He threw for over 300 yards and had a passer rating of 90. That’s far from horrible. Yes, he obviously could’ve completed more throws, especially the one to Lloyd in the 1st quarter that was intercepted. Sam Bradford has only had 1 game this year of 300 yards or more out of 15 starts.
Forget the % completion. Look at the whole package: Passing Yards, another passing/rushing TD performance, plus the passsion he brings to the team and fans is incredible. I live in Jacksonville and have to put up with a pitful, pathetic Jaguars team quarterbacked by an ineffective player with the personality of a worm.
I am still jealous that the Bronco’s were smart enought to pick Timmy up in the draft while the Jaguar front office passed up a local football hero who has always played to win.
Sorry Kyle, the future is Tebow.

Look at his overall performance. Tim through that interception early on, and there were no more of those! I just admire how he led the team to a victory when the Broncos didn’t score a single point in the first half! Way to go Timmy, you have earned your job as the Denver Broncos starter!

this is a Florida gator fan im also a viking fan and i wish they would have drafted tebow. the guy is a winner and he will lead Denver to 1 or more super bowls. i cant wait to see him when denver has a good D and a good coach go gators and go broncos
I am so excited for Tebow! He was just plain Tebow on Sunday and showed just how awesome he is going to be. Pray the Broncos will win against the Chargers on Sunday. It would really send the team off into the off season with hope for 2011, and, hopefully the new head coach will want to work with Tim. Go Gators and Broncos this weekend, with hope for the future!

I really have an issue with people saying he won’t make it in the NFL…he brings a winning mentaltiy to the game and a spirit that is truely ispirational…I am a DIE HARD FLORIDA GATOR..So I know what he is capable of…i live in florida so have to wait for highlights of his games at Denver..but look our Orton he will be a starter for 2011 so he will bring Denver to a superbowl real soon !!
