The Denver Broncos lost 13-43 on Sunday to the Arizona Cardinals… mostly at the hands of Kyle Orton and his 3 interceptions. Despite the terrible performance by Orton, Tim Tebow still remains on the sidelines waiting for his chance to get in.
Broncos interim head coach Eric Studesville says he’s sticking with slumping quarterback Kyle Orton as his starter. I just don’t get it. Kyle Orton isn’t the quarterback he was 2 months months ago and he’s certainly not doing anything to help the team win. The Broncos are now 3-10 and on their way to one of the team’s worst records in franchise history.
Maybe management has some personal vendetta against Tim? Who knows?
Tebow is really being a stand up guy though by accepting his role and not complaining. Most first rounders would be pissed if not giving the chance to compete when the guy in front of him isn’t playing well at all.
Orton was named the starter for the game next week against Oakland, hopefully he’ll be out of the game by the 2nd quarter.
It was mentioned during the game by some Denver Post reporters, via twitter, that Tebow did not take any reps with the first team last week. That’s the reason he wasn’t put it. And I believe that was their mistake…Tebow should have been made the starter last week and practiced with the first team. I definitely want him to play, but it needs to be done right. Having him practice with the second team, then put him in the game isn’t the ideal situation for him. Then again, it is Tebow. He’s a winner and would probably do fine. But I would like to see him get significant practice with the starters before being thrown in.
