The Denver Broncos are at home this Sunday to host the NFC West’s Seattle Seahawks. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 pm eastern and the game with be broadcast on FOX – not sure if it’s going to be the national game, or just shown in the local regions. If you know, post a comment.

The Denver Broncos lost last week on the road to the Jacksonville Jaguars – they can’t afford to start the season 0-2. The Seahawks just romped the 49ers 31-6. The Seahawks aren’t as good as the score from that game indicates, but they’ll give the Broncos a tough time for sure.

Tim Tebow was a non-factor in his NFL debut, finishing with two yards on two carries… and only running out on the field for a handful of carries. I expect Coach McDaniels to limit Tim again in Week 2. Tebow should be listed as the #2 QB on the depth chart, which will allow McDaniels to run him out there for some wildcat type of plays. If they prove to be successful and Tim bumps off a 15 yard gain in the first quarter, then they may very well give him more action than what he saw in Jacksonville. I also think they will have Tim throw the ball once just to see what happens.

The Broncos are favored by -3.5 points, which means it’s about even since the game is played in Denver. The Broncos really need a win here. An 0-2 start isn’t the end of the world but when your next few games are Indy, Tennessee, Baltimore, and New York Jets things aren’t starting to look good. Imagine if the Broncos are 1-5 or 0-6 after that stretch – would they start clamoring for Tebow to be the quarterback? Hahah we’ll get to that when the time comes.

I’m predicting a close game here… but I’ll give Denver the edge at home: 21-17. Tim will get 3 carries for 12 yards, 1 pass completion for 8 yards.
