Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts are coming to Denver this weekend for a 4:15 ET kickoff against Tim Tebow and the Broncos. The Colts and Broncos are both 1-1 right now … and while the season is still early, neither team wants to fall back to 1-2. Manning has owned the Broncos since he came into the league with a 7-2 record. That will all change this year because the Broncos have the X-Factor … Tim Tebow.
I wish the above statement were true. As much as we are all clamoring for Tim to get playing time, I just don’t see it happening again this week. Maybe a play or two, but that’s about it. Kyle Orton is playing good ball right now and Coach McDaniels will want the experienced QB in on every play vs. the dangerous Colts. With that said, should the Colts blow the Broncos out and the score is like 31-7 in the fourth quarter then I definitely think McDaniels will put Tim in the game to get him some work.
I expect the Broncos to keep it close though, and potentially win the game. Vegas has the Colts at -5.5 which is a lot for a road team. The Colts defense isn’t that good – they can rush the QB, but they cannot stop the run at all. I expect McDaniels to give them a healthy dose of Knowshon Moreno. And if Tim gets a handful of plays, they’ll definitely be running plays right up the middle. One thing you can always count on Tim for is positive yards on the ground.
For my score prediction, I’m going with Colts win 31-21. The Broncos just don’t have enough offense to keep up.
What do you think the outcome of the game will be? Do you think Tim Tebow will get to play? Post a comment and let us know.
I think the Broncos will win but I don’t think will play much, if at all. It’s just not his time yet.
Hopefully, we will get to see Tebow in action at some point! Without a doubt, I think Coach McDaniels will have a few surprises for the Colts too!! GB2/ck
i think denver will win sense there at home and tim tebow wont play only reason he even played in week 1 was it was him home state tebow unless something happens to kyle orton tebow wont play at all this year he still has alot to learn about being a quarterback in the nfl
Orton is a bum and the sooner the Broncos figure that out the better off they will be. Look at it this way, a rookie can’t throw any more interceptions than Orton does and the rookie is a proven champion and Heisman Trophy winner. Tebow won’t lose any more games than Orton does but he will definitely win more games.
Watched the game and was extremely disappointed that Tim was not brought in to SAVE THE GAME IN THE END ZONE!!! Makes you wonder what they were thinking!! Guess they are going to rotate back-ups for the #2 QB position behind Orton b/c I just found out that they switched Quinn to #2 and Tebow to #3 and that is why he was not out there on the field!! Too bad for the Broncos b/c they had plenty of chances to win today from what I witnessed during the game. Unfortunately, Orton does not seem to operate too well under pressure at 4th and goal in the end zone!! At least they were able to hold their own against Manning and the Colts. Beginning to wonder when we will get to see Tebow…hopefully, soon!! Gators had a great game and that Trey Burton is something else! Still not the same though! GB2/GO GATORS/TEBOW/CK
I am starting to get a little disappointed with Coach McDaniel. I thought he was a risk taker like Coach Meyer. Orton is not able to get the job done in the red zone.
Timmy might bring something to the game that neither Orton nor Quinn can do. McDaniels might look at Saturday’s UF game and see what might happen if he would combine Orton and Tebow- at least once in a while. But he said in a press conference that he basically lacks the cretivity to use two QBs and that he is afraid that it will rattle Orton.
Wow are y’all familiar with Danny Wuerfel? How about Spurrrier’s success as a punter not a QB? Rex Grossman might have the most success and well. Tim better start a church like Danny so he has a future income. Florida QB’s and the NFL just the facts.
Tebow won’t lose any more games than Orton does but he will definitely win more games.
