Tim Tebow restarts Drive for Education

Groove Automotive (out of Denver, CO) and Tim Tebow have announced a partnership to help education efforts for underprivileged children in the area. It’s called Drive For Education and it’s a nonprofit group that helps raise funds for different Colorado charities that help at-risk children. Tim’s involvement will include, but won’t be limited to, doing public service announcements and commercials to help raise awareness.

This is a very honorable cause for Tim to get involved with. He already has his own foundation, The Tim Tebow Foundation, but is still putting time and effort into the local community.

The organization has chosen Colorado Uplift, a nonprofit youth services organization endorsed by Denver Public Schools, as its first recipient. “Drive for Education” is expected to generate $100,000 in its first year.

“Together, we hope to have a huge impact on the future of kids in our community,” Tebow said in a news release. “Some kids live with truly difficult circumstances that can make school seem less important – challenging situations that interfere with their ability to fully participate and excel. Groove Auto’s Drive for Education project hopes to help change that.”
