Tebow Out vs. Detroit

The Denver Broncos were without rookie quarterback Tim Tebow on Saturday night in their second preseason game vs. the Detroit Lions. Tim is still nursing some bruised ribs he received on a last minute touchdown run in the previous preseason game. Tebow missed a lot of practices last week, so it was pretty clear the coaches weren’t going to risk playing him. Had this of been a real game, Tim may have been out there.

Hopefully he continues to ice down the ribs and gets back onto the practice field this week. Tim likely wouldn’t play much in week 3 of the preseason anyway – this is the weekend the coaches let the starters go for 3 full quarters – but they would still probably run him out there for a few special plays. Plus, it’s great experience for Tim to be on the sideline in pads rather than street clothes.

We’ll keep you updated.
