I said that over the next few weeks that a few more coaches would come out and tell us how much they like Tim Tebow as a football player. I really think there’s only a handful of teams that would pass on Tim. So many coaches and executives are intrigued by his athleticism and his character. Tim is the type of guy you want on your team.
“I’d love the opportunity to develop him,” Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. “He’s a winner, and I’m excited to see what he does in the National Football League. He wins games, he’s a tremendous competitor and he’s like a lot of young quarterbacks; there’s some things he can work on to improve on.”
We all know Tebow isn’t going to step in right away and play quarterback like Matt Ryan or Joe Flacco. He’s going to take a year or two to develop and get his mechanics right. It’s an investment that will pay off for one lucky team. “You can see his tremendous passion in the way he plays the game, and it will be interesting to see who has the opportunity to develop him,” said McCarthy.
On another note — I heard on the radio that one coach (I think it was Mike Shannahan) said something like “If you don’t love Tebow, then you don’t love your kids.” That’s how highly NFL coaches regard Timmy.
Only a few more weeks until the draft. Can’t wait!
I would love to see Tim go in the first round, and I know he will! I think it would also be great if he went to a really good team with a good QB as a mentor to teach him everything he needs to know! EX-Tom Brady- New England Patriots, Peyton Manning-Colts, of Drew Brees-Saints. Tim has great potential in the NFl, and the QB mentor could help him improve in the areas he does want to improve in. Cannot wait until April 22!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!( that’s 15 exclamation points for that number 15! lol)
