Tim Tebow’s Foundation

This morning I saw a new account start following me – @TebowFoundation. I had never heard of it until this morning, so I quickly checked out the Twitter account where it then directed me to a new website for The Tim Tebow Foundation – www.timtebowfoundation.org. “The Tim Tebow Foundation is a donor advised fund of the National Christian Foundation (NCF), one of the largest non-profit donor advised funds in the United States.”

It appears to be a legitimate foundation/site site up – though I did check the USTO for the trademark they claim to have “Tim Tebow Foundation” and nothing came up. When you search the domain history it was purchased back in November, but all the ownership information is private. But there is a video of Tim Tebow welcoming people to the Foundation, so you know it’s real.

Here is a brief summary of the Foundation they have posted on their Facebook page:

The Tim Tebow Foundation exists to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.

The Foundation will utilize the public platform that God has given to Tim Tebow–through media, publishing, speaking engagements, special events, and mission trips—to inspire friends and supporters to work with the Foundation as a team in helping to make a difference.

The Facebook page has over 2,000 fans so obviously a lot of people know about this already. You’d think there would be a press release or something let let media know – or maybe they did send me an email notification, it just got lost in with the regular batch of fan mail.

The site also allows you to make donations to his Foundation directly through a simple payment form and you can join their mailing list. If you have any more information on the Tim Tebow Foundation, please post a comment and let me know.

  2. I personally work with Tim and his family regarding this Foundation and have been thoroughly impressed with everything I have seen and heard about the Tim Tebow Foundation. I own 2 Thomas Kinkade art galleries and one particular painting “Mile High Thunder” was painted by Thom specifically as a tribute to Tim’s Foundation. In addition, we make a minimum $100 donation to the Tim Tebow Foundation for each sale we get of this painting.

I have met with Tim and his family and have had detailed discussions about his Foundation and what’s so impressive about his foundation is not only about how it benefits underprivileged children through various means but also in how 99% of donations go directly to these kids. The only 1% exception is for the cost to run Tim’s website. How many charities can claim this? I have posted further information on my blog (part of my website) but I’m not sure if it’s appropriate to list my website in this post so I will not. Feel free to post it however if you wish. If you have any questions, I’m happy to answer them as well. Simply drop me an email. Thank you.
