Senior Bowl practices were under way again yesterday – getting ready for the big game aired this Saturday on NFL Network. Former Florida Gator quarterback Tim Tebow was feeling under the weather the last day or two, but still went out there to sling the ball around. There’s no telling how much the flu has affected him at practice during the week.
There are a lot of reports coming out of Mobile that Tim still isn’t looking that sharp at practice. I’m not in Mobile, so I can’t say for myself. It would be nice to see him with my own eyes. So if you’re there, please post a comment and let us know what you think.
Here are a couple of videos that help recap the Tim Tebow’s practices at the Senior Bowl so far this week.
The first one is from Todd McShay of ESPN. Todd is a guy that had Tim as his No. 1 NFL prospect after the Heisman year, but has since dropped him to like the 50th best quarterback. It’s very clear after reading McShay’s work over the last two years that he is not a Tebow fan.
And here is a video of Tebow and one of his best friends Riley Cooper. Just messing around…
I was at practice yesterday. I have to say for myself that Tim looked good and better from Tuesday and Monday. He didn’t fumble and was throwing good passes. The whole South team looked great. Tebow didn’t look like his was feeling to good, or it might have just been the heat. He looked great, and I was fortunate to get very close to him. He is improving greatly and will be on top soon!
Best wishes to the players!

I am very disappointed in Tim Tebow. My husband and 7 year old son went to Fairhope (from Ms) on Monday, January 25 to watch Tim practice. Afterwards, my son, proudly wearing Tim’s jersey, went on the field in hopes of getting the jeresy signed. Tim patted him on the head and said “Not now, maybe later.” Well, later never came. My son was extremely crushed. He missed a day of school in order to get an autograph from someone he looks up to, just to have Tim pat him on the head and continue to talk with Media. Tim needs to learn the lesson that the fans help make careers. My son learned the lesson of “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” the hard way.
God forbid he misses one autograph seeker. Give the kid a break. It’s not enough that the kid gets to see his hero and even gets to come into contact with him. You expect too much.
“Afterwards, my son, proudly wearing Tim’s jersey, went on the field in hopes of getting the jeresy signed. Tim patted him on the head and said “Not now, maybe later.””
Tim had time to condescendingly pat him on the head, but not enough time to sign his jersey, which would have taken maybe 5 more seconds of his time? This would be the same Tebow who took a fan of his who survived a brain tumor as his date to an awards show w/him, right? And the Senior Bowl organizers allowed a 7-year-old ON THE FIELD after practice? And Tebow STILL didn’t have 5 seconds for him, even though it was AFTER practice?
Just in case this story is true, it should be pointed out that this week potentially makes or breaks Tim’s entire NFL career, which has been his dream since he was about your alleged son’s alleged age. And practically every self-styled ‘expert’ in the world can’t say often enough how badly Tebow’s been playing this week & how Tebow will never be an NFL QB. So, along w/his strep, 103 degree fever, Monday night trip to the hospital, & sleeplessness/sweatfest on Tues night, it’s understandable if he would be a little distracted & not himself.
Since this is the first time I’ve ever heard of Tim acting in a less than gracious way towards a fan, especially a fan that’s a child, I’m tending to not believe this entire story. It’s far more believable to me that a Tebow hater would stoop to the level of making up a story like this than it is that Tebow would behave in such a way.
I agree with you Brooke. I was at a practice where Tim signed no autographs because he had a meeting right after practice. Who are we to look down on Tim just because he didn’t give your child an autograph? Think of all the pressure he is going through because of his “fans” who turn their back on him. I fully support everything Tim does and will continute to.
WOW!! ALL OVER AN AUTOGRAPH GET OVER YOURSELF LADY YOUR LUCKY HE PATTED YOUR KID ON THE HEAD AS IF YOUR KID IS THE ONLY FAN!!! GOOOOO TEBOOOOOWWWWWW, BUT TIM REMEMBER THE NEXT TIME YOU SEE ME PAT ME ON THE HEAD OR BUTT!!! LOL
I saw him today out side the hotel in Mobile. He was very friendly and took pictures with some small kids, but didn’t look like he felt the best. Sadly he didn’t feel well enough to make it to the convention center and do the meet and greet, but he is GREAT we all know hes GREAT and I wish people would stop giving him so much grief! Get a life and stop scrutinizing him look at your self before you judge others! But hey people also crucified Jesus! WE LOVE YOU TIM!! THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT MEMORIES!! WE HOPE YOUR WELL ENOUGH TO PLAY TOMORROW! GOD BLESS YOU AND GOOD LUCK IN THE NFL OR WHAT EVER PATH GOD HAS CHOSEN FOR YOU!
I too was on the field for some of the practices. Tebow posed for some quick pictures but said he could not sign anything. The problem is, if he signs something for one fan, he has to sign for everybody else waiting there for the same thing. I know “Rowena” was not happy she didn’t get her autograph, but think how unhappy some of the others would have been if he had signed something for her and then refused to sign for the 100s of others that were there. Signing one item takes little time, but signing 100s does. Senior Bowl week he was getting pulled in every direction and he was apparently very sick. I don’t think he attended any of the other Senior Bowl events, not even the FCA event or the visit to the womens & children’s hospital – events that I would think would be top on his list. He was there to work on his NFL career and even though he had to get IVs before and after some practices, he gave his all to the practices…but he had to take care of his health.
That is ridiculous to be down on Tebow for not signing your sons jersey…I stayed at the same hotel as the players in Mobile. I saw Timmy once and it was in the lobby, he was gracious enough to take a picture with me even though he needed to get to the stadium and most likely did not want to be bothered due to his illness leading up to the Senior Bowl… Tim Tebow is a great person, God has rewarded him thus far and will continue to for a long time so he can use his position to spread God’s word, If you are this down on him you are probably not a true fan…God Bless Timmy <3
I think this was a very hectic week for Timmy and all the players. I went to the Friday practice where the players signed on the way out. Timmy walked up to the fence and said he was sorry he could not sign and off he went. He was to sick to go to visit the kids at the hospital, so you know the guy is sick. This week was about the PLAYERS not the fans! You are not entitled to a picture or autograph, be grateful for anything you get. GIVE THE GUY A BREAK!

Tim’s A Much Better Man Than I am 4 Sure! I Am Speaking 4 Myself Not Tim Tebow.
I love tim tebow. I’m a huge fan..but I do have to say that he was not himself at the senior bowl. I was disappointed myself because I waited in a line all day for his autograph only to find out 12 hours later when they started he wasn’t showing.I wouldn’t have minded if it had been announced earlier in the day. Not to mention when a guy knocked my football out of my hand at the game he wouldn’t pick it up. The player behind him did..but he didn’t have a great game so I guess I understand.
Rowena…..YOU NEED TO GET OVER YOURSELF! TIM TEBOW PATTED YOUR SON ON THE FREAKING HEAD! BE HAPPY. WHAT I WOULD GIVE FOR A PAT ON THE HEAD.
Sometimes the players arent even allowed to sign autographs. I am sure your little boy was upset but You dont know the whole story, so dont bash Tim over it.
