Over the summer of 2009, Tim Tebow admitted to the world that he is a virgin and is saving himself for marriage. Tim is a Christian man, and this is part of his faith. I received an email yesterday to our fan mail account that talks about a young woman who has taken a similar vow. She is 21 and wears a purity ring. It got me thinking… does Tim Tebow wear a purity ring?

I looked back through a ton of photos, and never saw one with him wearing a ring. Tebow does wear a lot of those rubber wrist bands that support multiple causes (see photo below) so it’s possible one of those is for purity.

Here is the email that inspired today’s post.

I just wanted to tell you how amazing of a person I think you are. You’re character is admirable. In a world where it is easy to be swallowed up by all of the hype and attention, you have managed to stay grounded and strong in your beliefs. That is truly amazing. I’m 21 and I wear a purity ring, vowing to stay pure until marriage. For me being a woman I don’t find it that difficult. I imagine it would be more difficult for men to take that path yet you have managed to do just that. And you have stayed true to that path which I so greatly respect. It’s so encouraging to know that there are people like you still left out there and I just want to thank you for that. You have helped me feel more comfortable with who I am by just seeing you hold true to your beliefs. You are an amazing role model for men and women out there. I hope you realize that. And even though I am a huge Redskins fan I hope to see you play in the NFL very soon.
