David The college football world has been debating today whether or not Florida Gator quarterback Tim Tebow will play in the Senior Bowl. Tim recently said that he is still unsure whether or not he’ll play in the game.
“I don’t know [if I will play]. I haven’t talked to anybody about it,” Tebow said. “If the people I talk to that are wise think that I should play in it, I’ll go play in it. If they don’t, I won’t. I don’t know. I’ll do whatever I need to do [to impress] – throw out here a million times, I don’t care.”
The Senior Bowl gives senior football players one more chance to play in front of NFL scouts. It’s a mixture of all the top seniors from all the teams in the country together at one place. There are a few reasons a senior might skip this game: one, if he is injured and two, if he thinks it will hurt his draft stock. There is no obligation to play and in fact many of the top NFL picks (including every underclassman) have not played in this game. There’s really no reason to get all worked up if Tim doesn’t play. Like he said in the quote above, if Meyer and other advisers think he should play then he’ll do it.
The Senior Bowl is scheduled for January 30, 2010 in Mobile, Alabama.

As a Mobile resident, I just want to say that I really hope Tim decides to play here. Even if he doesn’t play the whole game (as most players don’t), I would be thrilled with the opportunity to take my children to see him for a few downs or media days.
Oh, please, please, please, come to the Senior Bowl Tebow! I am a member of the local Florida Alumni club in Mobile, Alabama where the Senior Bowl is played and would be really disappointed if he does not come. My whole family is excited about the possibility of seeing him here.
Tim has announced he is playing in the Senior Bowl. He will play for the south team which is coached by the Miami Dolphins staff. He has also chosen an agent: Jimmy Sexton.
