The No. 5 Florida Gators will face off with the No. 3 undefeated Cincinnati Bearcats tomorrow night in New Orleans for the Allstate Sugar Bowl – one of five BCS Bowl games. Tim Tebow will lead the Gators in action for the final time in his college career – it’s going to be a great and yet somewhat sad day for Gator fans across the nation.
The Gators have been in New Orleans practicing all week. They’re getting ready for a primetime game that everyone will be watching. All college football fans want to see how Urban Meyer feels and witness Tim’s farewell performance. Do you think he’ll be able to bounce back after that disappointing loss to Alabama in the SECCG?
“I don’t think you’re over a loss. It’s going to hurt, probably will hurt for a while,” Tebow said. “I think we’re over the point where we’re feeling sorry for ourselves and we’re getting back to working, working hard and just getting better.”
Tim Tebow is 2-1 all-time in Bowl games, including two National Championships. He’s not afraid of the big stage – in fact he loves it. He comes into the game with 2,400 yards passing, 859 yards rushing and 31 total touchdowns. He’s been a machine his four years at Florida and I expect nothing less in his final game. I am predicting Tim to throw for 300 yards plus 4 touchdowns and rush for 70 yards plus 1 touchdown. He’s going to have a huge game against Cincinnati’s mediocre defense. The o-line will block for him and the running game will help open things up down field. I’m very excited for this game.
The Sugar Bowl will air at 8:30 PM ET on Fox. If you have Time Warner Cable, you might not get the game on TV so make plans to find a sports bar with a dish.
