Tim Tebow Makes 2009 All-SEC Team

Florida Gator quarterback Tim Tebow was selected by SEC coaches to the All-SEC Football First Team. Tim was one of three unaminous selections – the other two were Mark Ingram and Rolando McClain. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players, so it’d be curious to see who Urban Meyer voted for instead of Tebow… possibly Ryan Mallet of Arkansas?

This is the 3rd year in a row Tim has been named First-team ALL-SEC. Some people say the coaches picked Tim this year as somewhat of a “lifetime achievement” award – but I’m not buying it. Mallet may have had better stats and McElroy may have beaten Tim head to head in the SECCG, but if it came down to it and all 12 SEC Coaches could pick any SEC QB to play for their team – there’s no doubt in my mind everyone one of the would pick Tebow first. He brings the most to the table and is one of the most dangerous college football players we’ve ever seen.

Congratulations Tim!
