Tim Tebow Graduates from UF

Saturday December 19, was a big day for Tim Tebow. This time he wasn’t running out of the tunnel to lead the Gators to a football victory. Instead, he was sitting in a crowd of graduating students at the University of Florida – awaiting that moment when they are handed a diploma.

Graduation is the culmination of years of hard work. For most students it’s the greatest accomplishment of their lives up to that point. Can the same be said for Tim Tebow – a man with 2 National Championships and a Heisman Trophy? Does a diploma mean as much as those? For Tim Tebow – you bet it does.

Tim graduated with a degree in Family, Youth and Community Sciences from the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. Through four years of college he maintained a 3.66 grade-point average – amazing he could juggle school, football and extra curricular activities.

The Gainesville Sun reported that Tebow received more accolades during Saturday’s commencement as the outstanding male leader for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. Tebow received the honor for his strong academic record and the more than 700 hours in volunteer community service he logged during the year.

Congratulations Tim on your graduation!

I am guessing that the most amazing and most important thing to him is the light he has been able to shine in a dark world, the kids faces he has been able to light up, the witness he has maintained both on and off the field. He has always said that “football is just a game” and that in the big picture it isn’t that big. He loves the game as much as the next guy but he knows that his rewards are laid up in heaven and that is where he puts his all in all. God BLess you Tim for all you have done to further the cause of Christ over these past years. May God continue to be your guiding force and may he keep his hand of providence on you and his hedge of protection around you. Thanks for always keeping the main thing…the main thing.

Over 700 in ONE YEAR? I know he only had 1 class, but that’s over 2 hours a day every day. Wow.

Congratulations Tim! Saying you are a high acheiver is an understatement. You are amazing! It has been a blast following you the last 4 years, following your successes on and off the field. Keep up the good work and best of all in the future. May His hand continue to guide you and keep your light shining. May you receive 10 fold what you have given. God Bless you, Tim.
