The No. 1 Florida Gators came out of South Carolina Saturday night with a 24-14 win over the Gamecocks. The Gators finished the SEC undefeated for the first time since Steve Spurrier’s 1996 championship team. Tim Tebow played a very efficient game, starting of hot with a 68-yard touchdown pass to Riley Cooper on the Gators first play. Tim ended the day 14 of 25 for 199 yards passing and one touchdown, plus 26 yards rushing and a touchdown.

The Gators were a few inches away from having a HUGE day. Tim missed Riley Cooper on two deep passes in the endzone by just inches. Both passes went right off his fingers, had Cooper dove for the ball he might have caught them. Tim Tebow only connected with five different receivers in the game. After Riley, the leading receiver was Aaron Hernandez with 3 receptions for 30 yards.

One negative play that sticks out is a 4th and 1 call that resulted in Tim Tebow getting stuffed at the line for no gain. I know Tim is a tank, but seriously, everyone in the world knew Tim was going to run the ball up the middle. It’s so easy for the defense to stop a play when they know what’s coming.
