Tebow Shines In Win Over UGA

There was never a moment of doubt for the Florida Gators in their 41-17 victory of the Georgia Bulldogs. Gator quarterback Tim Tebow played some great ball. It was nice seeing him shine after a few down weeks. Tim didn’t go over 300 yards passing, but that’s because the Gators didn’t need him to throw the ball that much.

Tim Tebow threw two first quarter touchdowns to Riley Cooper to help the Gators get to an early 14-0 lead. In the second quarter, Tebow took a 23 yard run to the house which happened to be his 50th rushing touchdown of his career – a touchdown that broke Herschel Walker’s record. After the score, the Gator fans in the stadium erupted chants of “Tim Tebow… Tim Tebow.” It was awesome. “Breaking Herschel’s record means a lot,” Tebow said. “Just to be mentioned in the same breath as Herschel Walker, it’s extremely humbling and a little bit breathtaking because it’s Herschel Walker. How am I going to be in the same league as Herschel Walker? I still can’t understand it. It’s pretty cool and it’s really special.”

Tim finished the day 15/21 for 164 yards, 2 touchdowns and 18 rushes for 85 yards, 2 touchdowns. The Gators are now 8-0 on the season and still the BCS No. 1 team. For those of you that missed the game, check out this video:
