At 7:00 pm EDT on Saturday, September 5, the Florida Gators football team will run through the tunnel into a packed stadium to take on the Charleston Southern Buccaneers. The Gators will once again be led by senior quarterback Tim Tebow. I’m not going to break down this game today (check back Thursday or Friday for that)… I just wanted to express how excited I am for the 2009 season to finally kick off.

The Gators will look to do what no other Gator team has ever done before them. Have an undefeated season. Tebow has said time and time again that his goal was to have an undefeated season while at Florida. Now that Tim is a senior, this will be his last chance.

The Gators are the Preseaon AP No. 1 team and are primed for a perfect season. Of course, too much hype is never a good thing… one misstep and it could cost the Gators their season. Tim can’t give another “Promise” speech if the Gators should lose a game in 2009. That card has already been played.

It’s time for the Gators to deliver.
