Today is National Signing Day. A day where highly recruited high school football players sign a letter of intent to play for their college of choice. Tim Tebow will welcome in a new class of football players, hoping to find a handful that can contribute as true freshman.
Do you remember when Tim Tebow committed to Florida back in December 2005? Tim didn’t wait till National Signing Day to make his decision. Because he was home schooled, he was able to sign with Florida and enroll in classes for the Spring 2006 semester. The move got him in the classroom and on the football field early, allowing ihm to prep for the upcoming season. Meyer knew Tebow would be a vital part of his offense as a true freshman.
Rivals.com had Tim Tebow ranked as the #1 overall player in the 2006 recruiting class. After evaluating his career for 3 seasons, I’d say they hit that ranking dead on. Two national championships and a Heisman… what more could you want?
I remember a lot of people saying Tim might go to Alabama. Florida fans were certainly worried about his decision. But when you look at things and look at his family (they had a Gator mailbox), you just knew Tim would become part of the Gator Nation. Probably one of the best decisions of his life.
Mann if I were a recruit I would be going insane just to meet tim tebow and that’s not just cuz I’m obsessed with him:)))
If i even got to go to the University of Florida i would be ecstatic to meet Tim Tebow. Yes I am sorta obsessed but not because he plays for the gators or because he’s hot but because he is my hero. He is my inspiration in everything i do and to meet him would mean the world to me
