David This story seems to be getting a lot of play on the local radio stations, so I wanted to write a quick post about it on here to fill in those Tim Tebow fans who maybe haven’t heard it. Last week, Mel Kiper Jr (the ESPN “Draft Expert”) had Tim Tebow on his radio show. Kiper questioned whether or not Tim could play the Quarterback position at the NFL level.
Being the competitor that he is, Tebow probably took some offense to the statement and responded “You tell me this… What do you think I need to do to be an NFL quarterback? You tell me that.” Now Tim Tebow is not a cocky guy. He has that level of arrogance that all superstar athletes have, but he doesn’t walk around thinking he’s better then everyone.
Kiper completely dodged the question saying “You’re just too good with the ball in your hands not to think, Could he be Frank Wycheck? Could he be Chris Cooley? That’s why. You’re too good, doing what you do, Tim, running with the football.”
I would LOVE to see a record of all of Kiper’s top NFL prospects and find out how many of them were complete busts. This dude is wrong probably 80% of the time on his draft board, yet he still gets labeled an “expert”. Tebow has been a winner at every level of football he’s ever played, I wouldn’t expect anything less from him in the NFL… at the QUARTERBACK position.

It doesn’t take nearly the athlete to be a dropback passer and stand in the pocket as it does to play like Tebow does!
Mel Kiper is a moron. I found this and thought it was hilarious. He said the Cardinals would have the first pick in the 2009 NFL draft. Which means he thought they would finish dead last in the NFL. Well they may end up with the 32nd pick ha.

Tebow’s desire to succeed alone will make him a great NFL QB….Kiper really is a hot air spewing buffoon.
My brother said the same thing but my brother is also the one who said that I was stupid for thinking the gators would go to the national championship. Look who’s the stupid one now…I rub it in his face everyday!!! Don’t worry our time will come to point and laugh at Kiper soon…just like my brother:)))
Because tim is no ordinary player… I, along with many other people, see a fire and a passion in his eyes. He will not give up and sit on the bench…he will fight and win. Just look at all his awards not only from college football but from high school… He threw 10,000 yards in high school!!! He was also awarded mr. Football on the state of Florida!!!! Don’t question his greatness because you’ll end up looking like a fool when he prooves you wrong
