Tim Tebow Submits NFL Draft Paperwork

After all the debate about how long Tim Tebow would stay at Florida, it’s finally coming to a close. Yesterday afternoon, Gator superstar Tim Tebow submitted his paperwork to have his draft position evaluated by the NFL Draft Advisory Committee. What this means is a committee of 30 NFL scouts will determine his draft potential. Tebow can then use those results to decide whether or not to file for the draft. The deadline to declare for the 2009 NFL Draft is January 15.

When asked about filing the paperwork: “I haven’t really worried about it,” Tebow said of the paperwork. “I think they’re (school officials) going to help me do that, get it all in or whatever we need to do.”

He said the final score in Miami won’t be dwelled on, when it comes time to decide whether to stay in school or not.

“I don’t think so, to tell you to truth, because win or lose there’s going to be a lot to come back and play for,” Tebow said. “A win, coming back, you have a chance to come back and go for three out of four (national titles) which isn’t bad. Lose, you have a chance to come back here and get your second one. Either way it would be fun.”

I don’t have to rattle off Tim’s stats for you. Everyone knows what a stud he’s been in college. I’m not completely surprised that he’s submitting his draft potential papers, it’s smart to check things out before filing the complete NFL papers.

If he goes he’ll probably be a 2nd day pick. And even if he does go to the NFL, he wont play that year, and probably not the next year either. He needs to stay another year and perfect his skills as a quarterback. Work on passing, staying in the pocket and taking snaps from under center.

i dont understand why everyone hates tebow first off. We all know he is the best and he was this year. Everyone can agree passing in the SEC is harder than passing in the big 12. As for Tebow leaving, i hate to see it happen any sooner than it has to. He is my hero for what he does on and off the field. He brings christ into football and excels in every game. If he leaves this year, Florida will continue to be a national powerhouse but, his leadership will be missed by everyone. So if we do lose such a great gator, LETS GO OUT WITH A BANG! GO GATORSSSSS!!!

Why would Tebow want to leave Florida where he has the chance to influence college football forever. He could be the greatest college football player of all time. Or he can go sit on a NFL bench and wait for his chance. What would you do? College star and possible the greatest college player or sit on a bench in obscurity? Seems like a simple choice to me.

I think that it is best for Tim Tebow to stay and perfect his skills as a quarterback of course, but lets be honest here people. Tim Tebow has been an all-american quarterback all his life. From his days at Nease high school to his career here at Florida. He is a natural quarterback wilt excellant running skill which makes him an even bigger threat in the league. His legs will make up for his arm in the NFL. Either way if he leaves or stay, Tim Tebow will go down as one of the best quarterbacks in college football and will have a great career at the next level. GO GATORSSSS!!!

Tim Tebow is not only an amazing player, but an inspiration to my 8 1/2 and 10 year old boys. Graduating in 1985, I have been a huge Gator fan for over 20 years. Now, here is my biggest grief. As a mother of boys, I would love to have my boys graduate (even if they were to be another talent like Tebow), as to fall back on a career other than football, should they be injured and out of the game. Please finish school, Tim – fine-toon your skills, and once again prove yourself, and your team, a powerhouse. Your leadership is amazing, and your faith is inevitable. We admire you. Do not leave college without a degree. Go Gators!!!!!!!!!

Tim Tebow is a great college quarterback but I dont think he will be that great in the nfl. I would like to see him come back but dont really blame him if he does go. What more does he have to prove at this level? Nothing. Either way the gators will still have a great team and contend next season. GO GATORS!!!!!!!!!!!! Kick some sooner ass.
