The Old Ball Coach (aka Steve Spurrier) and the South Carolina Gamecocks have probably been game planning for Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators for weeks. Nothing would make Spurrier happier then putting a L in the Win/Loss column for the Florida Gators. I’m hear to tell you it won’t be easy. In fact, South Carolina has never beaten Florida in The Swamp.
South Carolina is supposed to have one of the best defenses in the SEC. I say, their defense only ranks well because they don’t play any good offensive teams. Regardless of what they try to do, Tim Tebow will be ready for them. Bring the blitz… drop back in coverage… it doesn’t matter. Tebow will light them up.
Tebow has a very healthy team arround him. All the offensive weapons, including Moody, are ready to rock. Over the last two games Tim has 10 touchdowns. I think he’ll increase that to 15 in the last 3 games after Saturday’s performance. The Gamecocks have no answer for Tebow’s accuracy, arm strength, and bulldozer legs. If they bring anything, he’ll punish them.
My score prediction for the game: 49-14. Tebow’s stats: 14-21 for 245 yards and 3 touchdowns, plus 30 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns.
Remember, if you can’t make it to Gainesville for the 3:30 kickoff, head over to Gator Envy where you can chat with other Tebow fans in the in-game discussion threads.
“I say, their defense only ranks well because they don’t play any good offensive teams.” What? This has got to be the worst argument I have seen yet. Compare the Florida and Carolina schedules and you will see that they have played all the same teams with the exception of perrineal powerhouse, Hawaii and the recovering Miami Hurricanes. We’ll see if this defense can match up with the almighty Gator offense on Saturday. I say, yes they can. They may not win the game but I feel certain they will cover the point spread. Tebow ran all over the Gamecocks last year, but so did everyone else. This year’s team is completely different. Check the stats and you’ll see. I look forward to an exciting game.
Gamecock Fan: You forgot to add LSU, Georgia and at the time….Tennessee. All three had vaunted defenses, or so they thought. Granted, S Carolina has a good defense, but so does Florida, but your offense simply cannot match up. Your QB’s are prone to far too many mistakes and I see that trend continuing in the Swamp tomorrow. Check out UF’s special teams….they will likely score more points than the Gamecock offense. Go Gators
i doubt the gamecocks will hold tebow for under 50 rushing. tebow makes plays and so does harvin.
they cant stop them.
and what do you know… gamecocks get beat 56-6 lol… what a game!!!

When it is all said and done, what amazes me the most were all these cocky Gamecock fans on our website, talking trash about how an allegedly stout defense, the SEC’s #1 ranked defense was going to stop Florida’s potent attack, predicting (brashly)for one delusional SC fan, a lop-sided SC win. If South Carolina’s defense was so great, explain how Florida rushed for 346 yards, how the Gators “undermatched” O-Line opened up gaping holes to allow backs like Harvin, Moody and Raines to gallup through waving “hello and goodbye” to their D-Line, linebackers and secondary? Seriously folks, there is nothing wrong with dreaming, expressing hope and having belief that your team will always come out ahead, but these South Carolina fans are, I believe, of the same mindset that……..Santa Claus does exist, the earth is flat and the South is going to rise again.
Sorry, I meant RAINEY……still celebrating a little too much……a 50 point beat-down.
NJ Gator; seeing that the SEC is the SOUTH Eastern Conference and the university of Florida is located in the great SOUTHERN state of Florida and, its heisman trophy winning QB is a SOUTHERN boy who likes to listen to Kenny Chesney. I would say the SOUTH has risen! In other words put your heart in Dixie or get your ass out!
Joe Gator:
Take a chill pill dude…..it’s symantics…get it? And….obviously, I do not live in the South anymore but if you are of a firm belief that it will happen, perhaps you believe the earth is flat too. Lighten up!!!!!
NJ Gator: I hear you but, in a world obsessed with PC it still seems perfectly acceptable to knock the South for some reason! I really think someone living in NJ would be the last person to down any other state or region!
Joe Gator:
Who is knocking the South? You are overly defensive. My Southern roots likely go deeper than yours, and I am proud of my heritage, so let’s not go there. This is GATOR NATION my friend, and a GATOR fansite, not the place to unleash 143 years of repressed anger over what happened in 1865. I live in the present day and while NOT a native of New Jersey, I take no pride in nor criticism of it’s political and economic strife. If you feel so strongly about the South, perhaps you should participate in a Civil War reanactment, but make sure you choose the side clad in gray, wouldn’t want you to shoot yourself in the foot.
I would say you are knocking the south with your earlier post about “the south is going to rise again” While calling yourself “NJ Gator” If you have such deep southern roots as you say? Then you should realize that would be offensive to many people unless you are one of us you can’t talk junk about us! I think we have a reanactment next week Tim will be playing General Lee I hope you can make it, I know it is hard to tear yourself away from such a beautiful state! LOL
Joe, again, you are missing the point. I suppose I should feel at ease knowing you are a true guardian of the Confederacy and what I said WAS NOT taking a shot or talking junk at the South or anyone in it. You read far too much into that statement which was nothing more than firing a salvo back at those delusional South Carolina fans. Apparently, I did hit one nerve, but if it were so offensive, why hasn’t any other Southerner taken up arms against me? Would it make you feel more at ease knowing that I live in SOUTH Jersey? The gas is cheaper, the earth is round and Corzine will not win re-election!!!!! Now….are you knocking New Jersey? A visit from Tony and Vito might be in the offing. Are we on the same page yet?
