The Revenge of Tim Tebow

The title of today’s post kind of has a Star Wars ring to it, doesn’t it? That’s because Tim Tebow is pissed. Every day he is reminded about what happened to him and the Gators last year in Jacksonville for the annual Florida vs. Georgia game. The notorious “Gator Stomp”… coach Meyer has a picture of it hanging in the locker room.

This will be a different Gator team then the Dawgs saw in 2007. This will the the Gator team that LSU and Kentucky just saw. This will be an angry Gator team that will fight and embarass their opponents. The Bulldogs may be ranked higher in the polls, but that doesn’t mean they are a superior team. The play on the field will determine that.

Last year, Tebow was hit a lot. He was put on his back. This year Phil Trautwein is back and the Gators are getting Tartt back. The offensive line will protect Tim Tebow. They will allow him the time to make accurate and powerful throws.

The speed of Percy Harvin, Jeff Demps, Chris Rainey and Brandon James will keep Georgia on their heels all day. They’ll expect the deep ball. This could open up the short throws for Timmy, and with thos short throws he can let the receivers make the plays.

Last year, Tim only threw one touchdown. This year I see 3. I predict Tebow will go 22-26 for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns. He’ll also have 8 rushes for 25 yards and a touchdown.

The Gators march to the BCS Title game goes through Jacksonville, and I know they will come out victorious.

If you aren’t able to make it to the game, check out Gator Envy. They have game discussions and live chat rooms for all the fans. It’s a great place to hang out with fell Gator and Tebow fans.

I am not really to Tim Tebow before, but when i heard that he was born in the philippines, a youngman with good heart, faith in god, and a very talented athlete. I heard that he’s helping the homeless and needed children in the philippines i was so impressed, i was surprised a superstar quarterback still finds time to help and visit the people who’s in need from far away 3rd World Countries, Hope you’ll help more people who’s in need and spread the faith in god, Hope your next big game and touchdowns is for the people young children you’ve help!! God Luck!! God Bless!! – J.R. Filipino Rhulz

What a fine Christian Tim Tebow is. I must have missed the part of the Phil4-13 that states Through Christ I can have a vengeful heart,..through Christ,in the final minutes of victory I can purposefully invoke the crowds to humiliate and degrade my opponents all for the glory of myself !

I think I’ll stay a non hypocritical agnostic thank you

Vengeful heart? He was just playing the game and beat georgia badly. He always gets the crowd pumped. He wasn’t hiumiliating georiga. The score did that. He was happy they beat them after what they did last year. Dude, you are totally misunderstanding what tebow does. I know him and know he is a great christian. I try to be like him sometimes. not all the time though. haha.

  5. Bob Dickinson says:

I wouldn’t care if Fl beat GA by the same 63 points they ran the score up on Kentucky. I only caught the last 5 minutes while waiting for Texas to start. However, calling 2 bogus timeout at the end of the game so the other team could watch your friend doing the gator chop is not “just playing the game” It was vengeful and it was meant to hurt those young men despite how Tim Tebow or anyone else wants to spin it.

  6. Josh says:

That’s urban meyer. He was proving a point to mark richt saying to not pull the kind of stuff he did last year. Yeah, urban could and should have just ended the game but he wanted to prove a point. Tebow had no part of it. He was just happy and was celebrating with the fans. The dawgs really deserved it after their trash talking and stomping on the endzone last year.

Your’e acting like tebow is a bad guy and the gators are evil. The bulldogs are classless fans and acted horrible after last year. Urban meyer can be a jerk sometimes but knowing he is around tebow all the time, I know he can’t be all bad and is definitely a believer in christ.

  7. he tried to do it last year to us. or he did do it.

i dont know why they would be hatin on tebow.

  8. Bob Dickinson says:

I’ll end with this. Last year Mark Richt called Urban Meyer personally & apologized. He further apologized in public. I often see bumper stickers with the saying “What would Jesus do?” If Urban Meyer professes to be a Christian he should have thought about that question. Both Tebow & Meyer had an opportunity to be true witnesses of Christ and they chose not to. It is easy to love those who please you but Christ challenged his followers to love those who may even despise you.

Finally, I don’t hate Tim Tebow. I don’t hate anybody, certainly someone I don’t know. I do however question the motives of those who talk their faith when it is
convenient but choose not to walk their faith when tested.

You two gentlemen seem genuine and sincere in your support of Tim Tebow as a person. Saturday afternoon I watched that game with my 10 year old son. Tim Tebow won him over at his Heisman ceremony. He lost him Saturday because while my son is a good athlete he is more importantly a caring and empathetic boy. I didn’t have to explain what those timeouts were all about. He knew and I suspect a great # of other young boys did as well.

  9. Josh says:

like I said before, those timeouts were urban meyer. Tebow shows his faith whenever possible. Really, what was tebow supposed to do? He celebrated with his fans for the hard earned victory.

All men are born into sin, we can’t all be perfect. I know tebow tries his hardest to spread god’s love and word to all. Urban meyer is a christian as well but he is also not perfect. Urban messed up, he tried to prove a point that was already established. As christians and people, we should forgive him.

Don’t start to lose support of someone when they mess up. We all know who Tebow is as a real person and yes, he does make mistakes. I know i don’t..

If your son lost his admiration of tebow for what urban meyer did and messed up on, then that really makes no sense to me. Tebow is obviously a great person who tries his hardest to do what God needs him to. Urban nor tebow is not perfect.

  10. john fulk says:

tim tebow is gay and he is the worst fuckin* quarterback ha ha ha gators its all about the noles

  11. Wolf says:

@Bob Dickinson ( now there’s an ironic name)

If your kid doesn’t understand the competitive nature of football and the WORLD IN GENERAL, then we don’t need him as a Tebow fan. Tell him to stick to soccer.

There is no empathy, no caring in this rivalry. It’s pure unadulterated hatred that would make Al-Quaeda proud. It’s Conan type passion, to leave your enemy not only beaten, but humiliated.
