We all know how quickly Tim Tebow rose to “cult status” in 2007. Millions of fans from across the country flocked to Tebow as if he were a Beatle. Dozens of fan sites popped up (including this one) and message boards were filled with posts about Tim Tebow. We all had a lot of fun with it, and Timmy himself even joked about the fun facts people associate with him. We called him Superman and we thought he could do know wrong.
Tim Tebow still has a very strong following, including myself and the hundreds of daily visitors to this blog. Not only do we love what he can do on the field, but we’re amazed at what he does off it.
My question to you today is: Do you think Tebow will be a “cult hero” in 2008? Will Timmy still be regarded so highly? Or do you think his popularity will die down now that he’s won a National Championship and a Heisman?
I tend to believe that Tebow Mania will be just as hot (if not hotter) in 2008 as it was for the 2007 season. The Gators are going to be a preseason top 5 team and a favorite to win the National Championship. This alone will keep Tebow on primetime and in the discussion to be a repeat Heisman winner. I also think he will continue to dazzle us with incredible play on the field.
2008 will be another awesome year for Tim. I predict he’ll have even more fans then before. Post a comment and tell me what you think.
