Tim Tebow helped bring 5-star recruit Lerentee McCray, a linebacker, to Florida. “I talk to a lot of them on occasion when I go up there,” McCray said. “I talk to the Pounceys, Brandon Spikes, Tim Tebow, Joe Haden, I talk to a lot of the guys, (Ocala’s) John Brantley of course.”

McCray had a lot of fun with Tebow during his visit and even joked about his success. “I think it is going to make me a lot better going against the Heisman winner,” McCray said. “We are also going to have media everywhere because he is a Heisman winner. Tebow taunted me a couple of times in practice when he saw me on the sideline and he was running the quarterback option. I just told him he better be ready for me.”

That is hilarious. Can’t you picture Tebow taunting a recruiting? In all seriousness though, Tebow is turning out to be one heck of a recruiter. Not only do players want to play with him, but they fear playing against him.  And not to mention all the media attention Tebow brings to the team.

All in all this is a GREAT signing for the Gators, and will help their defense develop into a top tier squad.
