David I just wanted to pose this question to see if we can get a few comments. I want to know how the general public, and Tebow fans who visit this website, feel about how Timmy reacts after a Gator loss. We all know that Tebow gets very emotional after a loss, he sometimes even sheds a few tears. How do you feel about this?
Do you think crying after a loss is a sign of weakness? Or do you feel that its awesome that Tebow shows emotion. It makes it seem like he really cares about this team.

As someone who’s played sports before I understand and love the competitiveness of Tebow. I don’t want a leader who isn’t affected by losses… I think this kind of competitiveness that is seen in Tebow is the difference between great athletes and those who transcend the game (cf. Michael Jordan and Vince Young)
Tebow is football’s Jeff Gordon. He has experienced near-instant success, buries his head in a washcloth after disaster, and doesn’t have the traditional background. And every fan (non-Gator) hates his guts.

I would like to know how Tim is doing. It seemed like he was in alot of pain this past Saturday. I don’t think he should have played at all. You could see it in his eyes that he wasn’t 100%. Where’s the rest of the team?

yes its ok to cry, that shows that you have heart, but im curious why is cam newton playing the role this year that Tebow played last year. I mean he’s bigger than Tebow and his only playing time which was against Tenn. he looked good..so why not play him to take off some of the load?
Cam Newton will get reps this week against Vandy… you can count on it.
I’ve been following Tim since he was a junior at Nease here in St. Augustine. He’s always been the most emotional athlete I’ve ever seen. I’ve always loved his enthusiasm and energy when he’s done well, but he’s every bit as emotional when he loses and that is simply the way he is. He went 0-3 against St. Augustine High while he was at Nease. When his possible game-winning drive came up short in his last play against St. Agustine in his high school career, he had a breakdown far worse than he’s had since he went to UF. I think that was probably the hardest loss he’s had to deal with yet.
I love his emotion – whether he’s scoring TD’s or watching helplessly as the other team scores. That’s part of the Tebow legend.

I think it’s so great that Tebow shows emotion after a loss, that means he really cares about the team, the fans, and UF. I think that he must feel so much pressure as the team is relying on him way too much!There is no “I” in team! Tebow needs the rest of the guys to really step it up and work as a team instead of depending on him to save game.
I also have a message for ” vince on” Leak is gone!!!! And the only reason everyone non-gator hates Tebow’s guts is because they’re jelous!!! He’s awesome!!!! He’s brings a different falvor to the field! He is an honest to god wonderful person, and anyone that has anything bad to say about him is only jealous!!! Which would also be the reason anyone “non-gator” would hate his guts!
seriously saying ‘tebow is a sissy’ adds nothing to the discussion. I don’t know too many ‘sissies’ with shoulder contusions who go out and score 3 tds… yall won the game and played well but that doesn’t mean he’s a sissy. ask the uga defenders and I’m sure you’ll get a different opinion. they’re glad they got to play him banged up.

Ok, crying is not bad. but it is looked down on. And yeah If Teebow get to the NFL, he’ll be torn apart if he runs the way he does now. He’s gotta change that. Hey just look at Steve Mcnair. Now in days you have to have two quarterbacks to compliment one another.

Tim is the man, he’s not afraid to show his emotions. Guys could take a lesson from that big guy, it’s not girlie to cry! Barring his shoulder injury doesn’t get worse I see great things in his future as a QB. Go Gators!!!!!!!!!!

I am a Huge Gator fan and a big Tim Tebow Fan. Now this whole crying debacle, well he is such a good player and when your constantly playing good games, its gonna hurt when you have a bad game.First of all it shows he’s a Real Man cause real men cry, second it shows what good sportsmanship he has. He obviously didnt want to let his team down.It must hurt to know you’ve let your team down.It just makes me love him more because he cried. He has confidence Cause he Must’ve known everyone saw.Every QB handles A loss differently.
As someone who played against, and beat, Tim Tebow at St. Augustine High School, FYI- He never beat the Yellow Jackets, I’m here to tell you that not only is it pathetic when he loses (I played football for 6 years and never cried nor saw a teammate cry, having emotions is good, controlling them makes you a man) he is also a bad sport. After every high school game, all the players line up and shake the hand of every player on the other team, like men do after competition. After he lost to us, he stayed on his sideline and didn’t shake a single one of my teammates hands. Sure he has passion for the game, but when it comes time to accept your losses, he just doesn’t have the backbone of a real man and I’m disappointed in him.
There is quite a difference between crying after an incredible victory and a devistating defeat. Tiger Woods crying after his first win at The Masters was emotional because he accomplished his dream, and one of the most amazing feats in sports history. Tim Tebow crying after the UF loss to LSU in ’07 and Ole Miss in ’08 was emotional because his best effort wasn’t good enough and he felt sorry for himself.
tebow is the biggest baby in college football and so is his coach… the two of them crying in the SEC… come on dude and dudettes… oh he is emotional and wears them on his chest… you weak gaytor fans defending him should all give each other a big gaytor hug because you are just as sad as his crying arse…. wah….. roll tide!

Good Ole T N T was crying because he lost everything today: the Heisman and the claim of a “dynasty.” I found the tears to be odd. Very odd. The game had been over for eight minutes. There was no shock: the Gators were beat down. Cry for the last three minutes when you know the world is watching (and 80% of the college viewing world enjoys laughing at him, regardless)?! Timmy was crying because they weren’t going to name the stadium the Tebow dome at the end of the game… or maybe God hates him, too? I bet he’ll never rely on the disciple John ever again, that’s for sure.

Well the guy lost alot more than a game that night. He lost the SEC championship, a BCS title game and the Heisman trophy all in one night. If you ask me he was the only player that showed up for the Gators. He was burdened by a poor playing team with a 12-0 run. I’m sure under those circumstances anyone would get emotional. I don’t fault him for that. If I was in that situation I’d be upset too.
