I’m getting probably 50-10 emails per day and just haven’t had time to read and answer everyone personally. If you don’t get a response, please don’t get upset. Many of your questions about speaking engagements and autographs can be directed to Jimmy Sexston of The ARM Team (Tim Tebow’s agency).

I am still however getting a lot of emails about the Senior Bowl and Tim Tebow‘s involvement in the Super Bowl ad. Here are a few emails from this weekend that I wanted to share with you.

This past weekend my family and I attended the Senior Bowl. My husband and I surprised my stepson with tickets after an emotional Saturday morning. My stepson is a cancer survivor and a right leg amputee. Saturday was his Make-A-Wish Reveal Day. A day to celebrate the end of the two year journey we have been on through seven surgeries, 44 chemo treatments, and much more. Our seats were near the area where the team walked out onto the field. My stepson was so excited to see you and the other players. We were not able to stay for the entire game due to the weather (Jake was too cold) but he was thrilled! My daughter was also with us and to see the smiles on their faces was PRICELESS! Thank you for all that you do and for being such a wonderful role model. God Bless you in all of your endeavors.

The B Family

and

Tim,

I am taking the time to make this suggestion because of how fine a person you are and your family is. I made an observation today worth sharing. I sense there is more to all of the focus on your throwing mechanics and you being considered lower in the draft than first round. Aside from who cares what round, I care that this not be a masked effort by the NFL and team owners for other not so couragious reasons. That is why I am communicating. Do not let anything undermine your confidence in yourself or your ability. Now what I noticed. I happened to be half watching the Superbowl reruns of SB1 and SB 4. Len Dawson and Hank Stram went to Purdue where I went so I watch with different perspective each time. This time, conscious of your arm motion and having compared it to the QBs in the recent NFL playoff games, I watched Len Dawson throw at least two passes, with time and room to throw, with a very similar long from the hip arm motion to yours. I just suggest you watch those films and think about contacting Len Dawson. Best of luck, not in the draft, but in all you do and decide to do. You will do it well and many people will benefit from your commitment.

Tim Tebow Hires Agent Jimmy Sexton http://www.tebowzone.com/2010/01/tim-tebow-hires-agent-jimmy-sexton/ http://www.tebowzone.com/2010/01/tim-tebow-hires-agent-jimmy-sexton/#comments Fri, 15 Jan 2010 12:01:43 +0000 David http://www.tebowzone.com/2010/01/tim-tebow-hires-agent-jimmy-sexton/ About a week after the conclusion of the Sugar Bowl (the end of Tim Tebow‘s college eligibility), he announced that he will sign with Jimmy Sexton to represent him. While active, college players are prohibited from dealing with sports agents so you can bet that immediately following his last game Tim had dozens of agents calling his phone. Tebow probably had the pick of any agent he wanted. He’ll like command first round dollars and will be looking at a ton of marketing and promotional deals. He’s an agent’s dream come true.

Sexton is a Memphis, Tennessee based agent who represents several NFL players, notably Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams, New England Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski, San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers, Dallas Cowboys Tight Tend Jason Witten and San Diego offensive lineman Marcus McNeil. Sexton also represents South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier and Alabama coach Nick Saban. So you can see he has some very prominent athletes and coaches under him. That’s a good sign.

I’m glad Tebow didn’t go with someone like Drew Rosenhaus, who is just terribly difficult to deal with and always has players who hold out of camp. That’s not good for the player or the team.

We’ll probably be seeing Tim a lot in the coming months on TV, radio and on the internet. His agent will have him doing interviews and workign the media – it’s all part of getting his name out there for the NFL teams to see. I’d also expect them to announce an official autograph signing day very soon.
