Well Focus on the Family just released a 10 minute interview with Bob and Pam Tebow. They in depth in the background and tell the entire story of Tim’s birth and the trials Pam faced.
I know this isn’t really a football related post, but there isn’t much news coming out right now. We’ll have Florida Pro Days coming up in a few weeks, but until then expect more posts like this and possibly a lot of fan email.

“Tim and Pam share our respect for life and our passion for helping families thrive,” Daly said. “Focus on the Family is about … strengthening families by empowering them with the tools they need to live lives rooted in morals and values.”
In the past, the NFL hasn’t really gone for these type of commercials. But Tim Tebow has a unique story and I think Focus on the Family wants to share it with the world. Tebow wasn’t born in America… he was actually born in the Philippines. The Gainesville Sun reports:
Pam Tebow entered into a coma after she contracted amoebic dysentery, an infection of the intestine caused by a parasite found in a contaminated food or drink.
The treatment for the medical condition would require strong medications that doctors told Pam had caused irreversible damage to Tim — so they advised her to have an abortion.
As the Sun reported, Pam Tebow refused the abortion and cited her Christian faith as the reason for her hope that her son would be born without the devastating disabilities physicians predicted.
Pam ultimately spent the last two months of her pregnancy in bed and, eventually, gave birth to a health baby boy in August 1987.
And the rest is history – Tim Tebow became arguably the greatest college football player ever and one heck of a human being. It’s my guess the Super Bowl ad will feature the story of his birth. Check back her after the game and we’ll have a video of the commercial posted.
