“He’s a competitive dude,” Broncos coach John Fox said. “He’s super competitive. He never lays his sword down. He’ll fight you to the death. That’s just his nature. He’s a great young man.”
Tim finished the game 9/20 for 104 yards, plus 8 rushes for 68 yards and a touchdown. “I like winning,” Tebow said “but I wish it wasn’t this stressful.”

A clip from the postgame interview:
]]>The Jets always talk about having the best defense in the league, but the Patriots put that to the test last Sunday and scored 38 on them. The Jets are giving up 326.8 yards per game, including 210.8 in the air and 116 on the ground. They are also giving up 22.2 points per game. The Broncos offense is averaging 318.1 yards per game and 20.9 points, which is pretty close to what the Jets are giving up.
The real key will be how Tebow and the Broncos can move the ball on the Jets all game. Will John Fox put together an offensive plan to beat them? Will he be able to make in-game adjustments if things aren’t working out? I don’t think they can go out there with the same game plan as the one they used in Kansas City and expect to win. Tebow will need to create positive plays with his feet by moving out of the pocket and throwing on the run.
The Broncos will have the home field crowd behind them – I’m sure the stadium will be rocking. Coach Fox and John Elway will have a huge plate of crow to eat if Tim can win this game for the Broncos.
]]>It wasn’t the prettiest game for a QB. Tebow finished just 2/8 for 69 yards with 1 touchdown. He ran the ball 9 times for 43 yards and a touchdown. At halftime, Tebow only had 4 passing attempts. So in fantasy football, he probably got you around 18 points — so not great but not terrible (like what Vick did).
“It’s just a mind-set. It’s a low-risk offense. It’s not an indictment on Tim Tebow or whoever our quarterback is,” Broncos coach John Fox said. “It’s just whatever is working for us. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. We tried to possess the ball and keep our defense fresh.”
He did hit Eric Decker on a beautiful 56-yard touchdown pass. Decker had double coverage and Tebow put the ball right on the money. I would love to see more of that.
]]>With a win over the Chiefs, the Broncos can move into a 3-way tie for second place in the division. After the first few games of the season, there’s no one out there who thought the Broncos would compete for a division title. But they’d only be 1 game behind Oakland and certainly capabale of competing.
The Chiefs are giving up 370.8 yards pergame (250.5 in the air and 120.2 on the ground). Giving up 120+ on the ground is not good, I think this opens up the opportunity for Tim to run all over them like he did aginast Oakland. KC is giving up 25.1 points per game and the Broncos 28, so this could be a high scoring game.
Call me crazy but I think Tim Tebow will elad the Broncos to another win this week. Kansas City is coming off a terrible loss to the Dolphins last week and they’re in a position to be taken advantage of. Tim is going to throw for 200 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception, plus he’ll run the ball for 80 yards and a touchdown. I didn’t post a Fantasy Football Start Em Sit Em yesterday, but for those of you keeping score that would be 26 points (In my league).
Go Tebow!
]]>The Broncos beat the Raiders in Oakland yesterday 38-24. No one gave Tim Tebow and the Broncos much of a chance. Tim the 2 touchdowns and rushed for over 100 yards. He also got a lot of help from Eddie Royal and Willis McGahee.
The Broncos are now 3-5 and only one game out of. First place in the division.
]]>Some people in Denver are already talking about making the switch back to Kyle Orton.
“It’s too early to say. I haven’t even taken a shower yet, let alone look at the tape,” Fox said when asked who would be his quarterback next weekend. “But we’ll look at it and make changes where we see are needed. We’ve definitely got to get better.”
The Broncos are in Oakland next week. It’s going to be another tough game for Tim and the boys. The whole team needs to step up, especially the defense — they should be the hook for giving up 45 points.
Here’s a video of one of the Detroit players mocking Tebow after a sack
]]>Detroit has a stingy defense (allowing 334 yards per game and just 19.6 points per game) and an offense that can score a ton of points. Lions QB Matt Stafford is banged up a little, and they are missing Jahvid Best, but as long as Calvin Johnson is on the field the Broncos will have something to be scared of.
After getting snow earlier this week, the weather has cleared up and will be perfect for the game. I think the game is going to come down to the 4th quarter, just like the previous two games Tebow has played in. As I mentioned in the Tim Tebow Fantasy Football outlook, I think he will throw for about 200 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception, plus he’ll rush the ball for 50 yards and a touchdown. Add in two field goals and I see the Broncos putting up 20 points — but coming up short in the game.
The Broncos definitely have a chance to win, but Detroit just has too much talent right now and Tebow hasn’t found his go to receiver yet.
]]>Two possessions later in overtime the Broncos lined up for a field goal (their kicker missed two easy FGs earlier in the game) and knocked one in to seal an 18-15 victory. This is what Broncos fans had been waiting for – a win. The old Broncos would have folded after being down 15-0.
Tebow finished the game 13/27 for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also rushed the ball 8 times for 65 yards.
Depending on your fantasy football format, Tebow probably put up around 24 points – right in line with what we predicted for the game.
Here are two post game interviews with Tim Tebow.
]]>Tim came in and struggled a bit in the 3rd quarter, but found his groove in the fourth leading the 14 unanswered points and a shot for the win at the end of the game. The Broncos came up short on a hail mary, but without Tim Tebow playing they never would have had that chance.
Tim finished 4/10 for 79 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed the ball 6 times for 38 yards and a touchdown. His lone touchdown pass was a short dump to Knowshon Moreno and he took it to the house. You could see the excitement from the fans and the players on the sideline as they watched a near comeback victory.
“Tim Tebow sparked the team today. (But) we haven’t had a chance to watch the tape, we haven’t had a chance to watch the film, we haven’t had a chance to visit as a staff,” Fox said. “So, I think at this point — we have a bye week — we do need to improve offensively, and it will all be up for discussion.”
Here is the video of his touchdown run.
I think the time has finally come. The bye week will give Tebow extra time to work with the first team and get prepared to start the rest of the season.
