New York Jets’ newly acquired back-up quarterback Tim Tebow is causing two of the largest sporting apparel companies, fight over his name on their apparel.
Reebok has been ordered to temporarily stop making and selling New York Jets clothing carrying Tim Tebow name after Nike filled a lawsuit accusing it of using the quarterback’s name illigimately.
It also requires Reebok to offer to buy back such apparel from retailers and recall the products from shipping channels. The Denver Broncos traded Tebow to the Jets on March 21.
Tebow has bigger problems! Needs to work on changing dog Broncos name to Jet — http://www.webvet.com/main/2012/03/27/can-you-change-your-dogs-name
He should change Bronco’s name to Gator, which he should have named him in the first place. Timmy will always be a Gator, no one can take that away from him and he may not be a Jet for long either. If he does not get to start ahead of Sanchez, he will at least get to show other teams what he can do when he does get on the field and will eventually get traded to a team where he will start. NFL players don’t stick with teams like they used to and he can’t keep changing Bronco’s name.
