John Tim Tebow has canceled an appearance at a revival organized by a controversial Ohio preacher, a spokesman for the star athlete said Wednesday. Tebow’s brother Robbie said in a phone interview that he was canceling the talk. Robbie Tebow said his brother’s speakers’ bureau hadn’t researched the event before saying yes to the invitation.
“I know for a fact that Tim is not going to be a part of it,” Robbie Tebow said. “That’s being resolved.”
Parsley teaches that God wants the faithful to be rich. Last year, he asked followers to donate more than $1 million to ward off satanic attacks. In the 2008 presidential election, Republican Sen. John McCain disowned an endorsement from Parsley after learning the pastor called Islam an “anti-Christ” religion.
Parsley’s gathering is called “Contending for the Faith Weekend.” Texas televangelist Kenneth Copeland, who also preaches the prosperity gospel, is another featured speaker, according to the event website.
Mark Youngkin, a spokesman for Parsley, said the quarterback has a contract with the event organizers, who have asked Tebow to reconsider. Youngkin said national advertising for the event had just been approved Tuesday.
“The ball’s in their court at this point,” Youngkin said.

Regarding the Bleacher Report, which I seldom read due to all its negativity, Elway helping Tebow succeed at off-season practices is what needs to happen and until that is evident then Elway’s credibility is nonexistent!! IMO better hope the fans are behind him whatever he ultimately decides b/c if not…!!!!
P.S. These articles are waaaaaaaay off-base for the most part and agree with others who think so as well b/c they need to start giving T2 the benefit of the doubt like they did when Elway first started out not being as GREAT AS TEBOW who had even less reps as a starter without a full year at that!!! PLUS, NOT TO MENTION HE WON THE AFC WEST DIVISIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP THEN, AGAIN, WINNING THE SECOND ROUND PLAYOFFS AGAINST THE STEELERS!!! HE CONTINUES TO BREAK ALL KINDS OF NFL RECORDS EVEN ELWAYS!!! BuzzzzzyB: Yea, saw that and he definitely deserved it too!!! Way to go T2 and congrats on a GREAT SEASON!!!!! Watching the Pats/Giants and have to say due to how they treated T2, hope the Pats don’t win with “BELICHEAT!” Plus, they way they treated T2 as well!!!!

BuzzyB: I think that ship has sailed and T2 has an opportunity where he is if Elway delivers as promised!! He has already been through enough uncertainty and Jax. is just that, a BIG ? He has a lot of positives where he is in Denver…not the least of which is a HUGE FAN BASE THAT STRETCHES NOT ONLY TO FLORIDA BUT AROUND THE WORLD!!! Jacksonville had their chance and they suffered the consequences so the Broncos should definitely keep T2 b/c Jax. is a lesson learned too late!!! (If things change in Florida then I would be the first one on the Tebow Train cheering for that to happen; however, for a fan, nothing beats going to the actual game in person imo!!!)
As a side note: Not that I agree with all aspects of one of the commentators, but this guy was on target in regards to the team and he is from Scotland (TYN Kent)!!

As you all know, I don’t trust Elway with Tebow’s future. However, you can’t pay a lot of attention to Bleacher Report. Anyone can contribute, maybe CK and I should write a pro-Timmy article. One thing that really concerns me about hoping Tebow will go to the Jags is that the team might end up in LA. Even though the new owner says he will not move the team, he would not put it in writing. He lives in Detroit, not Jacksonville. So, he has no loyalty to the city. I can not imagine Timmy living in LA, but they are about to get a team and that is one place the Jags might go. I’ve even heard rumors about moving to London.I think if Elway is going to trade him, they will do it soon because keeping him will require their draft to go a certain way and trading him now would get more draft picks or even existing players and again that would influence their drafting. TT tweeted to thank his fans for voting for the Never Say Never Award. So, I guess it was worth getting Carpel tunnel with all the voting. (just kidding) One thing I am glad about is that if Timmy stays in Denver, he will still have McCoy for an OC. TT seems to have gotten very close to him and Timmy is all about relationships. Enjoy your Super Bowl Sunday! I can ejoy a game like this when I really don’t have a dog in the fight. Watching the Broncos and the Gators can be painful. I will be rooting for the Patriots because of Hernandez and Spikes. Also, Timmy can say he lost to the team that went on to win the Super Bowl. GBT2!!!
tisa: Guess I should be doing what you are and thinking the Pats should take the win, but when I think about them hiring McDaniels on top of Tebow taking all those hits resulting in the injuries he had, it is hard to think they deserve to win IMO. Oh my gosh…the guy for the Giants just went into the end zone with the football, turned around, and sat on the goal line waiting to be tackled!!! That is too funny!!
