Only four clubs can lay claim to being Premier League champions, but with his side just three points behind leaders Manchester City, Redknapp is daring to dream.

“It’s not impossible for us to win the league,” Redknapp said.

“We have a chance. The players believe we have a good chance.”

“I wasn’t there but someone said William Gallas came in the other day and said to everyone: ‘Listen, we have a chance here’.”

“It’s not beyond the realms of possibility. We are in there. It’s going to be hard but we are not a bad side. We have some real quality. We can play and we have a good spirit.”

Redknapp refused to be distracted by an impending clash with City next weekend, stating that Spurs’ focus was squarely on the meeting with Mick McCarthy’s men.

“We can’t think about anything other than Wolves. That’s all I will think about driving home,” Redknapp said.

”It’s all about Wolves. We have to try to beat them. That will be a difficult game. They are a tough side to beat.”

Wolves and Tottenham have split their two encounters at White Hart Lane since the former was promoted to the top flight in 2009, with McCarthy’s side scoring on both trips to London.

They currently sit in 16th spot – five points behind 15th-placed West Bromwich Albion – and club owner Steve Morgan has been forced to defend his manager’s position at the club ahead of the clash.

“Of course, we have problems but our philosophy is to work through the problems. This club is about stability and approaching things in a very business-like sense,” Morgan said.

“The message is finally dropping with people that this is a club about stability. You don’t get stability by chopping and changing your manager all the time. You have to work things through.”

In team news, Spurs will be without William Gallas, Scott Parker, Ledley King, Jermaine Jenas and Tom Huddlestone, while Wolves are missing Roger Johnson, Ronald Zubar, Jamie O’Hara and Jody Craddock.
