United will push hard for the result, the record of 3 consecutive losses for the first time since December 2001 is not one Alex Ferguson will be after. A combination of speed and and commanding the midfield gave United a 5-0 win at the Reebok this season, a formula they won’t want to change. Fergie has a plethora of enviable strikers at his disposal, including Chicharito and Dimitar Berbatov, but Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck are expected to start. While they don’t sound impressive on their own, in the larger context of the Trotter’s dismal season, the fact that they came back after conceding twice in a row is a very good sign, especially considering that when playing Manchester United, conceding is almost definite.
