Yesterday, Tim Tebow had his book signing in Gainesville, FL. He was at Walmart and signed books from 6-8:30pm. Unfortunately, there were so many people at the Walmart signing that Tim had to leave before meeting every person. I received a few e-mails about the incident – apparently people aren’t happy with the way Walmart handled the whole situation. Maybe because this is Walmart’s first book signing? Seriously, has anyone ever heard of Walmart doing a book signing?
Tebow Book Signing in Gainesville
June 10th, 2011 Pajo
That stinks for the 300 that were promised autographs. I bet he would have signed them all but it’s one of those things he doesn’t really control. Glad I decided not to venture out there though.
Venues are going to need to realize that Tebow attracts a crowd. Two hours is not long enough to deal with the people that are going to show. I thought it was nice of him to sign books for Barnes and Nobles to sell. I have an autographed copy and I didn’t need to go through the ordeal of the long lines. I am glad for the memories of meeting him on the Gator Walk in Gainseville when things were a little less chaotic. My grandson and I were nearly crushed, mostly by rapid young ladies, at Mississippi State when we were present to see the team leave the bus. Jaxon was only 9 years old and we had gotten there early to be in front so he could see. When the bus got there a herd, of screaming girls crowded in and completely blocked our view. I just hope we don’t see a day when Tim or someone else gets hurt in one of these situations.
