Tim Tebow is showing the Denver Broncos that he can be a team leader. He’s only a second year player and still he’s reaching out to Broncos players to organize workouts and practices. He’s showing initiative and willing to work harder than anyone to become a better quarterback.
From the Denver Post:
“I’ve heard all the stories about Tim Tebow, about how he’s a team guy, how he’s a leader, how he works hard, and that’s what I like to think I am, too. To pair up with a team guy like that, I think the sky’s the limit for us,” Miller said after he finished signing hundreds of autographs after the luncheon, his first community appearance in Denver.
“Hopefully I can make it through (the workout) with him and make it back to Dallas.”
Tebow hasn’t just been trying to work with Von Miller, he’s also been contacting several of the team’s new rookies, tight ends Julius Thomas and Virgil Green among them, to schedule some team workouts. He also reportedly has been working out with receivers Brandon Lloyd and Jabar Gaffney.
Under the lockout, teams coaches are not allowed to work with their players. And the players are not allowed to practice at the team facilities. They have to organize everything on their own.
