The University of Florida’s three Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks were honored at halftime Saturday during the Orange & Blue Game as UF unveiled bronze statues of Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996) and Tebow (2007) outside Florida Field. Tim was on site to watch the Gators practice and accept the honor.
“I feel like I’m not just a player, but I’m part of it. I grew up a Gator, and being that just makes it that much more special,” Tebow said.
On thing that stands out when looking at the statue of Tim vs. the Danny and Steve ones is that Tim is in a running position rather than a throwing motion. He did have some memorable moments running the football. When asked about it, Tim said, laughing “That’s fine. You have to change it up. We can’t all be throwing.”
If any of you were there to see the event in person, I’d love to post more pictures. You can e-mail them to us via contact at tebow zone dot com.

I only wish there were more young men like Tim Tebow who are such amazing role models for my grandsons.
Amen, Sylvia, I totally agree!
